The Opioid Epidemic is a public health crisis with a highly effective but underutilized clinical intervention - millions of Americans are physically dependent on Opioids but only 10% of those likely to have OUD actually access treatment. Bicycle Health addresses this gap by maximizing accessibility, affordability, and overall quality of care by enabling highly qualified clinicians to reach patients broadly and efficiently through our online platform.

The Director, Strategic Finance will work across diverse stakeholders (BOD, executive leadership) and cross-functional teams (RCM, Data Analytics, Marketing, Payor Strategy) to help drive the direction of Bicycle Health’s fast-paced growth. The role will enable senior leadership to make better business decisions and will assist them in evaluating, planning, executing, and measuring strategic business initiatives.

Schedule: Full time (40 hrs)

Target Pay Range: - $141,950 - $166,600 + Equity - Compensation to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

What You'll Do:

  • FP&A: Build, maintain and own the company’s financial models, prepare monthly and annual financial reporting, analyze KPI trends and explain forecast versus actual variances. Proactively identify and research variances to uncover areas for forecasting improvement. Collaborate with senior management in the creation of and ongoing tracking against the annual operating plan and ongoing forecasts. Financial models and scenario planning may include, but are not limited to:
    • Annual financial model/annual budget
    • Fundraising models (i.e. 5-year plan) 
    • 4 week Cash Flow and 12 week Cash Flow models 
    • Operations and provider capacity models 
    • Venture Debt and debt covenant models 
    • Payor Strategy Commission models 
    • Cap table models
  • Financial Reporting: Deliver monthly reporting packages and KPI dashboards for presentation to the executive team and the Board of Directors. Ensure Bicycle Health’s performance is presented professionally and comprehensively to the BOD. 
  • Investor Relations: Create high-quality, professional materials for consideration by existing and potential new investors, including both financials and the supporting business narrative. Serve as the key liaison for investor relations including providing insights on key financial, business and ESG metrics. 
  • Treasury & Investment Management: Create treasury structure for Bicycle Health’s banking relationships across Bicycle Health, Inc., Bicycle Health Medical Group and Bicycle Health Provider Group, balancing operational needs with diversification needs.
  • Fundraising: Support all equity and debt fundraising activities as well as M&A discussions, which may include the preparation of data rooms, fielding financial questions from investors and creating customized pitch decks.
  • Valuation: Benchmark company valuation against private fundraisings, public companies and comparable M&A transactions. 
  • Buy-side M&A: Create M&A strategy and work with investment bankers to identify suitable targets. Independently run an M&A process in conjunction with the CFO including: creating due diligence timeline, creating diligence request list, reviewing and evaluating target co.’s performance and KPIs, deal structuring and advising on key deal terms. 
  • Business Partner: Partner closely with key business stakeholders to understand detailed drivers of the business and perform ad-hoc financial analyses to support business decisions. Create in-depth analyses to identify strategic and growth opportunities, examine new market potential (SAM/TAM), assess competitive landscape, and develop business cases.
  • People Management: Supervise direct reports as well as direct activities of outsourced firms.  

What You'll Need: 

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in finance operations, FP&A, M&A and initial public offerings. 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading teams.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Masters in Finance preferred. 
  • Ability to work both strategically as well as tactically. 
  • Outstanding forecasting methods and techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative abilities.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills to communicate financial information to a variety of interested parties: investors, BOD, leadership team, etc. 
  • Detail-oriented approach with a passion for problem-solving and improving efficiency.
  • Mastery of Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Consistent access to a private work environment with high speed internet and professionally appropriate surroundings for frequent video conferencing and a workstation setup conducive to remote work needs.

This is a full-time (40hrs per week) remote position.
