About the Role

Counsel Health is seeking a Director of Strategic Accounts to drive new business development and growth across our most critical enterprise relationships, including health systems, health plans, and strategic partners. This role is ideal for a senior, consultative sales operator with experience navigating complex multi-stakeholder healthcare buying processes in an early-stage environment.

You will own deals end-to-end, partnering closely with the SVP, Commercial to support early customer relationships and high-priority B2B sales opportunities. This role spans the full pre- and post-sales lifecycle and is expected to develop deep fluency across deal execution, account performance, and expansion strategy.

You'll also own account-level reporting and analytics, translating customer performance, market signals, and operational data into clear recommendations on commercial strategy and long-term growth.

What you’ll do
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with enterprise healthcare buyers, and contribute to go-to-market strategy, pricing discussions, and sales enablement materials.

  • Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving clinical, technical, legal, and executive teams.

  • Build strong relationships with decision makers across health systems, health plans, and digital health partners, serving as the primary point of contact pre and post sale.

  • Prepare and synthesize reporting and insights for the SVP, Commercial, supporting pipeline, deal progress, and performance across new and existing accounts.

  • Support onboarding, expansion opportunities, and ongoing relationship management, including gathering customer and market needs to help inform product roadmap and features.

  • Ensure client satisfaction and alignment while expanding Counsel's relationship to multiple stakeholders.

What you’ll bring
  • Experience selling into or advising health systems and health plans from an external vantage point, whether as a vendor, consultant, or investor. This role is not suited to candidates whose healthcare background comes from operating inside a health system.

  • 2+ years in an analytical professional services role such as strategy consulting or investment banking/private equity.

  • 2+ years in a business development, partnerships, or account management role.

  • 7+ years of total professional experience.

  • Experience in healthcare, digital health, health tech, or related consumer technology industries.

  • Expertise in both the pre-sales and post-sales process, executing contracts and expanding Counsel's footprint in large, complex healthcare and consumer health organizations.

  • Ability to navigate complex multi-stakeholder ecosystems and build consensus across clinical, technical, legal, and executive stakeholders.

  • Motivation to build and navigate ambiguity. You're energized working in a fast-paced, early-stage company with evolving processes.

Counsel Health Compensation & Benefits Highlights

The following summarizes recurring compensation and benefits themes identified from responses generated by popular LLMs to common candidate questions about Counsel Health and has not been reviewed or approved by Counsel Health.
