We are hiring for a leader who will run the operations of the Technology Staff Augmentation business. Code and Theory has multiple clients for its technology staff augmentation services and is looking to grow the volume of that business, in addition to the creative and technical projects and products we build for our global clients. The leader in this position will run the day to day operations of the staff augmentation clients and projects and people management. The position is based in India, but the scope of the position is global.

We are looking for a business leader with strong global experience with technology services and software development, including working with the global clients, hiring and managing a team of engineers, and handling various aspects of the client contracts and relationships.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Run the day to day business operations of the Staff Augmentation teams, all the projects and clients, including managing escalations, people, invoicing/billing and client relations
  • Forecast, plan and hire engineers and contractors with the right skillsets for the client requirements
  • Run the end-to-end process from onboarding to resignations to contract extensions and ends
  • Build strategies around the right skillsets to hire and contract for based on the industry and client trends
  • Act as the point of contact for the clients for these projects, working with various stakeholders on the client side, including CxOs
  • Handle any requirements and escalations that might occur
  • Oversee, at a high level, the software development happening in these projects, and provide guidance and mentorship to the engineers on the projects
  • Manage the day to day people operations including managing performance feedback, compensation, escalations, terminations and attrition, in partnership with HR and Site Leadership
  • Work closely with global business leaders in aligning with the company’s business strategy

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Strong experience and knowledge of the software development industry, software development lifecycle process, and modern AI tools
  • Prior hands-on experience with software development or developer roles
  • Strong pedigree and experience in working with global clients (especially in North America and Europe), including senior executives and CxOs
  • Experience with technology companies in the software services business and have a strong understanding of the nature of the business
  • Strong POV and insights to build and grow the business
  • Experience building and negotiating pricing and contractors with global client executives and procurement teams
  • Experience running the day to day operations of a large team of engineers. This must include the range of things from hiring, people management, performance management, client management, escalations, project management and so on
  • Strong people management skills
  • Proven experience in managing high and low performers, coaching, mentoring and feedback are key
  • Strong project management skills
  • Impeccable communication skills, and a strong pedigree of handling client pitches and client escalations
  • Strong understanding of the software and technology industry and trends especially the agency and services business

  • Global work experience, preferably in the USA
  • Strong understanding of the creative technology agency business
  • Hands-on experience with different kinds of technologies, software development life cycle, and processes
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools like Claude, Cursor, Airtable, Jira
  • Prior experience managing engineers and engineering managers
  • Experience being part of senior leadership teams
