SUMMARY

The Sports Ticket Operations department is responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of all ticketing operations supporting the Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty. The department partners closely with Ticket Sales, Membership Service, Finance, Ticket Analytics, Marketing, and Technology to ensure the successful execution of ticketing initiatives while maintaining operational excellence and delivering an exceptional fan experience.

The Director, Sports Ticket Operations serves as the operational leader of the department, overseeing the day-to-day execution of all Sports Ticket Operations functions while driving process standardization, operational efficiency, and functional ownership across the organization. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate ticketing operations, support revenue-generating initiatives, and continuously improve departmental processes and technology.

The Director, Sports Ticket Operations reports to the Senior Director, Sports Ticket Operations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Sports Ticket Operations department.
  • Manage departmental priorities, workload distribution, and operational execution.
  • Drive the department's technology strategy, including identifying opportunities for automation, system enhancements, and operational efficiencies.
  • Oversee ticketing data governance and establish operational standards across all Sports Ticket Operations functions.
  • Partner with Ticket Sales, Membership Service, Finance, Ticket Analytics, Marketing, Technology, and Ticketmaster to support organizational initiatives.
  • Lead implementation of new technologies, operational processes, and department-wide initiatives.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor department team members while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and support business objectives.
  • Participate in strategic planning and cross-functional projects supporting the Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 7+ years of experience in sports ticket operations, ticketing systems, or live event operations, preferably within professional sports.
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams or managing operational functions.
  • Advanced knowledge of Ticketmaster Host, Archtics, and ticketing operations best practices.
  • Experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms.
  • Demonstrated success leading operational process improvements and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of ticketing operations, inventory management, membership products, financial controls, and live event execution.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

COMPENSATION

$120,000 - $132,000 base salary

Full-time employees are eligible for a robust slate of total rewards, including:

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Works primarily in an office environment but is expected to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends and holidays.

Travel Requirements: <5% travel anticipated.
