Position Summary

General Atlantic is looking to hire an experienced Data Solutions Architect with demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, and managing technology solutions within the financial services sector. This hands-on architect will play a critical role in shaping our technology landscape, working closely with investment, operations, and portfolio management teams to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative solutions that accelerate value creation and operational excellence across the firm and our portfolio companies.

Responsibilities 

  • Design and architect end-to-end technology and data solutions that align with business objectives and drive operational efficiency across the firm and portfolio companies
  • Partner with stakeholders across investment, finance, legal, and operations to translate business needs—including ambiguous requirements—into scalable technical architectures
  • Define the firm’s enterprise and data architecture strategy, including canonical data models, integration patterns, and analytics-ready platforms
  • Lead the evaluation, selection, and integration of third-party platforms and technologies (CRM, ERP, cloud, data, security)
  • Architect and oversee end-to-end data solutions spanning ingestion, transformation, storage, and reporting across complex, multi-source environments
  • Design scalable data pipelines leveraging modern ETL/ELT frameworks, distributed processing, cloud-native services and other SaaS platforms
  • Lead the design and implementation of Azure-based data solutions, including data lakes, lakehouse architectures, and analytics platforms
  • Establish best practices for data modeling, metadata management, data quality, lineage, security, and performance optimization
  • Drive integration across disparate internal and external systems using MDM and data orchestration tools to ensure a consistent, trusted source of data
  • Mentor and guide internal teams, collaborate with vendors and consultants, and stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in solutions architecture, systems integration, and IT strategy, preferably within private equity, investment management, or broader financial services
  • Proven track record delivering complex technology solutions in a multi-stakeholder, fast-paced environment
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, data analytics, cloud platforms, cybersecurity frameworks, etc.)
  • Experience supporting digital transformation and business process automation initiatives
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Deep expertise in data architecture, data modeling, and enterprise data integration within complex, heterogeneous system landscapes
  • Hands-on experience designing and delivering cloud-native data platforms on Azure 
  • Strong understanding of modern ETL/ELT patterns, MDM concepts, and data governance frameworks
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments, shaping requirements, influencing stakeholders, and proposing pragmatic, scalable solutions
  • Ability to bridge technical and business domains, communicating complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders

General Atlantic offers a robust reward program to all employees that will support you and your family, maintaining fulfilling, secure and healthy lives now and into the future, which includes but is not limited to medical insurance, retirement savings contributions, mental and physical health resources and an equal pay program that allows you to earn a base salary of $175,000 - $215,000 of which the exact amount offered will be driven by the degree to which you meet role requirements, additional special skills and experience.  Additional reward programs, such as annual discretionary bonuses and long-term incentive programs, are available for eligible employees and are offered as recognition for performance and one’s contributions towards the organization’s success.
