Job Summary 

The Director, Social Media & Influencer Marketing is a senior leader responsible for shaping the strategic vision, growth, and integration of social media and influencer marketing across key accounts and agency initiatives.
You operate as an enterprise-level strategist and senior client partner, ensuring social and influencer marketing programs are innovative, compliant, measurable, and aligned to overarching brand and commercial priorities. You play a central role in scaling capabilities, strengthening cross-functional integration, and advancing the agency’s leadership within the evolving digital ecosystem.
This role requires executive-level strategic thinking, strong business acumen, advanced people leadership, and meaningful contribution to revenue growth and agency expansion.

Key Job Responsibilities (Duties may include, but are not limited to all or some of the following)
  • Define and lead strategic vision for social media and influencer marketing across major accounts and priority initiatives
  • Ensure social and influencer strategies are integrated seamlessly within broader brand, commercial, PR, and communications frameworks
  • Provide executive-level client counsel on platform evolution, regulatory landscape shifts, influencer engagement models, measurement innovation, and digital transformation
  • Oversee development of scalable content and influencer engagement frameworks that can be applied across brands and divisions
  • Drive measurement sophistication by partnering with analytics teams to evolve KPIs, ROI modeling, and performance reporting approaches
  • Collaborate with senior leadership across Marketing & Innovation and other divisions to ensure alignment and integration of social and influencer programs
  • Identify revenue growth opportunities within existing accounts and contribute to expansion planning
  • Play a leadership role in new business development, including strategic positioning, pitch participation, and capability storytelling
  • Lead and develop Associate Directors and broader team members, setting performance expectations and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability
  • Establish and institutionalize best practices, tools, and processes that elevate the Social Media & Influencer Marketing division
  • Monitor industry, regulatory, and platform trends to ensure the agency remains at the forefront of innovation
  • Champion results-driven programs that deliver measurable business impact for clients

Job Qualifications (Skills/Requirements)
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or related field
  • 10+ years of relevant agency or in-house experience
  • Extensive experience leading integrated social media and influencer marketing programs within complex, regulated environments
  • Deep expertise in healthcare/pharma compliance considerations and risk management
  • Strong executive presence and ability to counsel senior client stakeholders
  • Proven ability to drive business growth and expand account relationships
  • Advanced leadership skills with demonstrated success managing senior-level talent
  • Strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen
  • Ability to balance long-term vision with operational excellence
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, passion for innovation, and commitment to delivering measurable results
