Position Overview
  • The ANA is looking for a social media marketer who is ready to take the next step in their career. This person will lead our day-to-day social presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, and Threads, from strategy and planning through execution.
  • This is a hands-on role with room to grow. Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy and Brand
  • Lead and manage the ANA’s social media presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, and Threads, with the opportunity to expand to other platforms.
  • Help shape the strategy, audience, content approach, and goals for each platform.

  • Stay current on platform changes, new formats, audience behavior, and social media trends.
  • Monitor social conversations, ANA brand mentions, audience sentiment, and emerging issues, responding and elevating as appropriate.
Content Planning and Creation
  • Own and maintain the social media content calendar.
  • Write, edit, schedule, and publish content across the ANA’s social channels.
  • Create and adapt content across formats, including copy, graphics, short-form video, event coverage, executive posts, member stories, and industry insights.
  • Partner with Design and Video on larger creative needs while remaining comfortable creating simple, timely content directly.
Measurement and Optimization
  • Establish clear goals and KPIs for the ANA’s social channels and priority campaigns.
  • Track engagement, audience growth, traffic, registrations, leads, and other relevant performance measures.
  • Connect social performance to broader outcomes, including audience engagement, membership interest, event registrations, and other business priorities.
  • Manage monthly reporting, clearly identifying what is working, what is not, and what should be optimized.
  • Use performance data and audience insights to improve content, timing, targeting, and distribution.
  • Connect strong organic content with paid amplification when appropriate.
Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Work closely with teams across the ANA to identify priorities and turn them into strong social content.
  • Serve as a guide with internal partners to educate on what works on social media and how content should be adapted by platform.
  • Present ideas, results, and recommendations effectively to colleagues and senior leaders.
  • Coordinate with agencies, and outside partners when additional support is needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 4-6 years of social media experience at an in-house brand or agency preferred.
  • B2B, association, membership, professional services, media, or thought-leadership experience is a plus.
  • Experience managing branded social channels from planning and content development through publishing and reporting.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adjust tone and content for different platforms and audiences.
  • A strong understanding of LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, and Threads.
  • Experience using Sprout Social and other social media management tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several priorities at once.
  • Confidence working with various stakeholders, navigating feedback, and building relationships across an organization.
  • Aptitude using AI and automation to improve content development, workflows, audience understanding, and performance.
  • Exposure to paid search or programmatic media is a plus.
  • A genuine interest in marketing, social media, technology, and the issues shaping the industry.
