The Director, SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), Reporting, Analytics & SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) is a strategic leadership role accountable for defining and delivering Gilead’s enterprise data, reporting, analytics, and digital innovation capabilities across the SAP ecosystem.
This role owns the vision, strategy, architecture, and delivery of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions leveraging SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and SAP BTP services. The leader will ensure a scalable, secure, and integrated data foundation that enables real-time decision-making, advanced analytics, AI-driven insights, and enterprise-wide reporting.
Operating as a key member of Enterprise Solutions & Business Partnering, this role partners closely with Business Functions, Data & Analytics teams, IT leadership, and SAP program teams to establish a modern data platform supporting Gilead’s strategic and operational objectives.
The Director will bring deep expertise in SAP data and analytics technologies, enterprise data management, cloud platforms, reporting architecture, AI/ML enablement, and digital innovation while driving standardization, governance, and business value realization.
This position reports to the Senior Director, ERP Technology & Operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnterprise Data & Analytics Strategy- Define and own the enterprise strategy for SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), Reporting, Analytics, and SAP BTP capabilities.
- Establish a future-state data and analytics architecture that supports real-time business insights, AI, and intelligent automation.
- Drive standardization and simplification of enterprise reporting and analytics platforms across business functions.
- Develop a roadmap for modernization of legacy reporting platforms into SAP's next-generation analytics ecosystem.
- Align data, reporting, and analytics strategies with enterprise digital transformation objectives.
- Lead the strategy, design, and implementation of SAP Business Data Cloud capabilities.
- Establish enterprise-wide data products, semantic models, and governed business data assets.
- Ensure trusted, consistent, and business-ready data is available across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Commercial, HR, and R&D domains.
- Drive adoption of SAP's data fabric architecture and business data layer capabilities.
- Own the design and delivery of enterprise reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and performance management solutions.
- Lead SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Datasphere, and other reporting platforms supporting enterprise reporting needs.
- Partner with business stakeholders to define key performance measures and analytics requirements.
- Ensure reporting solutions provide actionable insights, predictive analytics, and executive decision support.
- Drive self-service analytics adoption across business functions.
- Define and execute the SAP BTP strategy, architecture, and governance model.
- Lead development of extensions, integrations, workflows, automation solutions, and custom applications on BTP.
