Responsibilities
- Team Management:
- Co-manage Voleon’s Investor Relations and Client Research teams in partnership with the Global Head of Investor Relations and Business Development.
- Provide coaching, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance sales and relationship management effectiveness.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement action plans to develop star performers and support underperforming team members.
- Foster a results-driven and collaborative team culture that aligns with the firm’s mission, values, and strategic goals.
- Sales Strategy & Execution Oversight:
- In partnership with the Global Head of Investor Relations and Business Development, set ambitious growth and client relationship goals.
- Develop and implement structured sales and relationship management processes and performance metrics.
- Monitor progress vs performance metrics and goals and enforce accountability
- Work with senior leadership to refine go-to-market strategies and improve overall business development efforts.
- Operational & Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Oversee CRM management, ensuring accurate tracking of sales activity, pipeline development, and reporting.
- Oversee coordination between Investor Relations and Client Research to align content generation with commercial priorities.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, Strategy, and other operational teams to support cross functional projects and requests.
- Sales and Relationship Coverage Analysis:
- Analyze sales data and provide actionable insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
- Develop regular sales and investor relations performance reports, identifying trends, challenges, and areas for improvement.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in sales/marketing roles within financial services or at a company serving the financial industry.
- 5+ years of experience managing teams.
- Strong understanding of alternative investment products, capital markets, portfolio management, and other investment concepts.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and process management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales management and analytics tools.
- Eagerness to work with diverse teams.
- Bachelor's degree.
- MBA and CFA (or comparable certifications) appreciated but not required.
