The Director of Sales I for Cleveland Range is responsible for leading sales growth and execution within an assigned region of the United States. This role develops and implements regional sales strategies, manages manufacturer representative performance, builds strong relationships across the foodservice equipment channel, and drives achievement of revenue, margin, and market-share objectives. The Director will work across all major sales channels, including dealers, distributors, consultants, buying groups, strategic accounts, and end users.

The successful candidate will bring significant food service equipment industry experience and a demonstrated record of developing profitable sales opportunities through manufacturer representatives, dealers, consultants, and end-user customers. This individual must be an effective leader who can identify opportunities, manage a strong sales pipeline, negotiate discounts, deliver product and sales training, and coordinate internal resources to provide industry-leading solutions for customers.

Reporting directly to the Cleveland Range Vice President of U.S. Sales, this is a remote position based in Coppell, Texas.


Major Accountability:

  • Lead/Manage commercial activities via rep agents to deliver financial objectives (sales/margin) that grow the business in assigned Region of the USA.
  • Develop, manage and prioritize commercial sales funnel, relationships, and opportunities with updates to leadership.
  • Lead execution of sales/customer strategies in their region in compliance with policies and processes and procedures of the business.
  • Built/strengthen relationships with key internal and external business partners to deliver industry leading solutions for customers.
  • Develop/build relationships with strategic customers (focus on K-12, chains) to develop and profitably grow the business.
    • Initiate, monitor, and assess commercial test opportunities with key customers.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Leads/Manages/Develops assigned objectives.
  • Execute defined sales policies, processes and procedures consistently across the region.
  • Builds relationship with key business partners (buying groups, dealers, consultants, authorized servicers, factories).
  • Negotiates pricing and programs with key customers/business partners in the best interest of the Company.
  • Provides product training, as needed, to develop opportunities.
  • Develops sales strategies and tactics and lead execution towards delivery of financial targets/objectives.
  • Develops annual sales plan with VP of Sales/individual targets.
  • Provides regular and ongoing interface with Product Management, Marketing, Culinary to develop solutions for customers.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing or relevant area is required.
  • 6 years’ experience in Sales, Sales Management, Leading Sales Team is required.
  • Prior foodservice equipment experience required, knowledge of the food service equipment industry and experienced track record working with food service manufacturers reps, food service dealer, food service consultants and end users.
  • Prior Culinary experience is a plus.

Skill and Abilities:

  • Strong negotiation skills and business/financial acumen.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time domestically. Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must be able to sit/stand/walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
