Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly capable, strategic, and proactive professional to serve as the Director’s Action Group (DAG) Lead supporting the Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Advanced Capabilities organization.  The DAG Lead will oversee the intake, assignment, tracking, staffing, and quality control of executive-level actions, briefings, and staff packages across supporting program offices. This position serves as the primary coordination interface between PAE Advanced Capabilities leadership, the Strategic Advisor team, and Program Offices, ensuring products submitted to senior leadership are accurate, timely, properly coordinated, and aligned with leadership priorities.  The DAG Lead will also lead a small team of DAG professionals and help maintain an efficient staffing and task-management battle rhythm. The ideal candidate is highly organized and mission-focused, with strong leadership, strategic planning, communication, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.   Key Responsibilities  The DAG Lead will: 
  • Develop and coordinate executive-level briefings, information papers, decision packages, staff summary sheets, and other leadership products 
  • Manage the intake, assignment, tracking, staffing, and closeout of taskers using Air Force and DoD task-management systems, including ETMS2, SharePoint, and related tools, ensuring suspense’s are met across PAE AC program offices 
  • Coordinate with program offices and external stakeholders to collect, consolidate, analyze, and synthesize inputs into accurate and timely responses 
  • Review and perform quality control of staff packages, decision papers, briefings, and executive correspondence prior to submission to senior leadership, including SecAF, CSO, DAF RCO, and SAF/SQ 
  • Monitor organizational effectiveness and identify process gaps, deficiencies, risks, and coordination issues for leadership awareness and resolution 
  • Prepare and review materials supporting recurring battle rhythm activities, including staff meetings, required training, and stakeholder engagements 
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, metrics, and reporting mechanisms to track tasker throughput, product quality, suspense compliance, and closeout timeliness 
  • Lead a small, agile DAG team, coordinating workload distribution, priorities, performance, and continuity of operations 
  • Coordinate with Strategic Advisor and Mission Integrator personnel to ensure technical and programmatic inputs are accurately incorporated into staffed products 
  • Oversee the organizational task-management process, ensuring accurate tracking, visibility, user training, accountability, and timely completion of assigned actions 
  • Review acquisition planning documents, including Acquisition Strategies, Acquisition Transition Plans, Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), for administrative completeness and staffing readiness 
  • Facilitate effective communication across Directorates, PAEs, Centers, Field Commands, U.S. Space Force, DoD, and other stakeholders regarding assigned actions, priorities, and deliverables 
RequirementsSkills and Experience  The DAG Lead must have: 
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance
  • 10+ years of relevant experience supporting DoD headquarters, staff, acquisition, or program office environments 
  • Demonstrated experience managing executive taskers, staffing actions, and suspense-driven requirements 
  • Proficiency with ETMS2 or similar task-management systems, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and related collaboration tools 
  • Experience preparing and coordinating executive-level briefings, decision packages, correspondence, and staff products for General Officers, Senior Executives, or equivalent senior leadership 
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and coordinating team members, including geographically dispersed personnel 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities and rapidly changing deadlines in a high-visibility environment 
  • Working knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, organizations, and documentation preferred 
  • Previous experience supporting OSD, Joint Staff, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Space Force, Major Commands/Field Commands, or other defense space organizations preferred 
Education and Certifications  The DAG Lead SME must have the following:  Required 
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field

Security Clearance


Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.


Physical Requirements


Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner, and that may include lifting up to thirty pounds, as necessary.
