The Role

Retention Sales Director
The Institutional Sales Associate sells bundled institutional retirement plan services to not for profit Higher Education defined contribution plans. This job is responsible for identifying opportunities and developing relationships with retirement plan clients or prospects in order to meet and exceed sales goals.
Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develops sales strategy for institutional retirement plans that are in their assigned book of business.
  • Builds effective internal relationships in order to execute the sales strategy.
  • Manages an assigned sales territory.
  • Identifies and cultivates relationships with prospects and/or existing clients in order to sell bundled institutional retirement plan services.
  • Initiates and follows up on new business opportunities.
  • Leads business meetings and closes sales with institutional retirement plan prospects/clients.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Work Experience

  • 5+ Years Required; 7+ Years Preferred

FINRA Registrations

  • SRC Indicator: Series 6 or 7; Series 63

Licenses and Certifications

  • Life and Health Insurance License (Resident State) - Multiple Issuers preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work

Base Pay Range: $120,000/yr. - $160,000/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
