The Role


Sequel Med Tech is an early-stage company developing the next generation of precision drug delivery devices.

The Director Regional Trade Accounts will play a critical role in establishing and nurturing relationships with regional trade accounts, including pharmacy chains such as Albertson's and Kroger, and other key stakeholders in the regional retail pharmacy sector. Reporting to the Sr. National Account Director, Trade, this individual will be responsible for driving product adoption and market penetration by securing distribution agreements and optimizing product placement within regional wholesalers, regional chains and independent Pharmacies. The Director Regional Trade Accounts will work in tandem with the Customer Care team to resolve pharmacy and wholesaler stocking issues and will work closely with Sales & Marketing on retail pharmacy and wholesaler programs to ensure product awareness and availability.



  • Develop and execute comprehensive account plans to drive product adoption and achieve sales targets within regional trade channels.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at regional trade accounts, including pharmacy buyers and category managers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, and Market Access, to develop and implement strategies tailored to meet the unique needs of regional trade partners.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions for distribution agreements, ensuring alignment with company objectives and profitability targets.

  • Conduct market analysis and competitive assessments to identify opportunities for product placement and differentiation within regional trade channels.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory developments impacting the retail pharmacy landscape.
  • Develop strategic initiatives and promotional campaigns to drive product awareness and demand generation within regional trade accounts.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between regional trade accounts and internal stakeholders, facilitating communication and alignment on key initiatives and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless execution of regional trade programs and initiatives.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to Sr. National Account Manager and other internal stakeholders on market trends, competitive activities, and opportunities for growth within regional trade channels.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field preferred; MBA strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in account management, sales or business development roles within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on trade and retail accounts.


  • Proven track record of successfully managing accounts and programs within the retail pharmacy sector, preferably with experience working with regional pharmacy chains and Independent Pharmacies.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence decision-making at the executive level.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts and value propositions to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving commercial success in a dynamic and competitive market environment.
