Director of Recruiting

At Series Entertainment, we’re seeking a highly skilled, imaginative Director of Recruiting to build and optimize our talent engine from the ground up. As the Director of Recruiting, you’ll design full life-cycle recruitment strategies, collaborate with internal and external partners, and champion the processes that find and nurture the very best people to power our mission. 

Key Responsibilities  

• Lead Full-Cycle Recruiting: Own the end-to-end process—from crafting job postings and sourcing top-tier talent to managing our ATS to shepherding candidates through interviews, offers, and onboarding.  

• Build & Mentor a High-Performing Team: Recruit, train, and inspire a recruiting team that thrives on excellence and embraces our mission to revolutionize gaming.  

• Collaborate with Agencies & Partners: Act as the key point of contact for third-party recruiting agencies, ensuring smooth coordination, clear communication, and shared successes.  

• Train Internal Teams: Develop and deliver workshops to upskill hiring managers and interviewers, helping them become talent magnets and brand ambassadors.  

• Improve Recruiting Process Flows: Continuously refine our recruiting playbook to speed up time-to-hire, boost candidate experience, and ensure every hire raises our collective bar.  

• Drive Data-Informed Decisions: Monitor hiring metrics and regularly share insights—everything from candidate pipeline stats to offer acceptance rates—to guide leadership and keep our recruiting strategy on track.  

• Align Recruiting Goals with Business Objectives: Partner with leadership to ensure recruiting strategies are aligned with company objectives, ensuring talent acquisition efforts support the overall business goals and growth plans.

• Cultivate a Startup Mindset: Identify and target candidates who demonstrate the agility, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit necessary to thrive in a rapidly changing startup environment.

• Champion Employer Branding: Collaborate with marketing and leadership to tell our story in a way that resonates with diverse, high-caliber candidates.  

Qualifications  

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field (or equivalent work experience).  

• 6+ years of recruiting experience (in-house preferred), with 2+ years in a leadership or team-building role.  

• Proven track record of managing full life-cycle recruitment, from entry-level hires to specialized, highly technical roles.  

• Exceptional communication skills, balancing empathy with candor when training teams and managing candidate relationships.  

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities, optimize processes, and rethink best practices in a fast-paced environment.  

• Data-informed mindset: comfortable analyzing recruiting metrics and using the numbers to inform next steps.  

• Active and engaged approach: you are equally happy doing hands-on recruiting yourself and delegating recruitment efforts to your team; you are not a bystander manager.

• A deep understanding of (and passion for) the video game, technology, AI and/or entertainment sectors is highly desirable.
