About this role
Your teamThe Investments and Trading Engineering (ITE) team builds and delivers Aladdin’s risk management, portfolio management, compliance, and trading capabilities. Within ITE, Quantitative Analytics Engineering (QAE) is a global team of quantitative developers responsible for implementing security valuation, portfolio risk, liquidity, and performance attribution models. BlackRock portfolio managers and external Aladdin clients, including pension funds and insurance companies, rely on these models to identify investment opportunities, build portfolios, and manage risk.
Security Analytics Infrastructure (SAI) is an established QAE team with colleagues in Hungary, New York, India, and Switzerland. The team develops scalable, high-throughput, low-latency analytical software in close partnership with Aladdin Financial Engineering, supporting the valuation of fixed-income products such as swaps, bonds, private credit, and derivatives. We challenge established approaches, adopt modern engineering practices, and bring together diverse perspectives to deliver reliable analytical capabilities. Our primary programming languages are C++ and Python.

You will combine hands-on engineering expertise with technical leadership to understand business processes, identify bottlenecks, and optimize cloud-compute performance. You will lead complex implementations across scalable, modular, and distributed architectures while partnering with users, stakeholders, and engineering teams to translate business and client needs into reliable production solutions. The analytical models supported by the team are central to investment and risk-management workflows, making their scalable and dependable delivery a high-impact, cross-team responsibility.

- Promote quality through agile delivery, automated testing, effective engineering practices, clean code, and a focus on scalable and reliable analytical services.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise software development, including ownership of production services, platforms, or distributed systems.
- Deep knowledge of software architecture, service design, APIs, data modeling, concurrency, and distributed systems.
