We are looking for you, located in Germany, France or Vienna with the possibility of hybrid working as a
Director Program & Release Management

Your tasks are:

  • Provides strategic leadership across all program and release management activities for ORBIS EMR

  • Define and implement standards, processes, and tools to ensure consistency in project execution, release management, risk management, and reporting

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple interdependent software development projects and release initiatives

  • Ensure alignment between program goals, product roadmaps, and broader business strategies

  • Manage interdependencies, resource allocations, and priorities across projects and region

  • Guide and support Program and Release Managers in resolving cross-functional challenges and conflicts.

  • Establish and drive effective program governance, including steering committees and decision-making processes.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess program success, delivery quality, and continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Report status, risks, and escalations to senior leadership and key stakeholders on a regular basis.

  • Ensures that swift decisions or corrective actions are taken whenever context requires it.

  • Foster strong collaboration across technical teams, business units, and external partners to ensure successful solution delivery and market acceptance

  • Manage escalations coming from our installed base, centralize all inputs, coordinate the actions required from the various teams, and structure the communication channel to offer regular updates and visibility on the status & next steps until situation is solved. Publish a root cause analysis on escalations and ensure that we learn from our mistakes and implement the corrective actions to prevent any future issue on the same topic

You’ll bring in:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration (with a focus on project management, IT or organization)

  • Proven experience in leading complex programs and release cycles in a software development environment

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and influence across functions and hierarchies

  • Deep understanding of program and release management frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, hybrid models)

  • Proven ability to work under time pressure on business critical situations

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills

  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach when needed.

  • 5+ years of strong and tested project management skills including risk management.

  • Advanced English knowledge (C1 Level

Specific Skills:

  • Experienced with Agile Methodologies for Software Development.

  • Experience with Agile and/or hybrid project environments

  • Experienced in managing international teams or working in a global organization

  • Nice to have: Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, or similar
