About the Position

GelSight is seeking a Director, Product to lead our engineering teams through the full product lifecycle—from concept to launch. In this role, you’ll develop and drive product roadmaps, translate customer insights into clear requirements, and shape GelSight’s go-to-market and product marketing strategies for our innovative tactile sensing product portfolio. We are looking for an experienced individual contributor ready to grow into a leadership role with the company. This position reports to the CBO and is onsite at our location in Waltham, MA.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with company goals.
• Drive a collaborative software enabled hardware platform designed for analyzing mission critical applications.
• Translate customer needs and market opportunities into clear product requirements.
• Lead product development processes from concept to launch, including business case development, prioritization, and cross-functional execution
• Develop go-to-market plans, product positioning, and messaging that resonate with target customers
• Partner with Sales and Marketing to drive customer adoption, market awareness, and revenue growth
• Own lifecycle management of GelSight’s products, including upgrades, end-of-life, and next-gen planning
• Drive Voice of Customer (VoC) programs to inform product design and validate value propositions
• Represent GelSight’s product vision with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders
• Experience with software enabled hardware development.

Requirements

• 7-10+ years of experience in product management, ideally with early-stage or growth-stage startups
• Proven track record of leading product strategy and execution for hardware products with integrated software, data, or analytics
• Strong technical acumen; able to collaborate closely with engineering on complex systems
• Experience working across the full product lifecycle, from ideation to commercialization
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, robotics, or related B2B sectors is a plus
• Ability to standup product related company systems to build a pipeline from the voice of the customer through operations.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment

Compensation

• Base salary: $150,000 – $175,000, depending on experience
