Director, Product Management, Payment Performance Intelligence
Help Shape the Future of Payment Intelligence
Every day, billions of payment transactions power the global economy. Hidden within them are payment performance issues that can silently impact revenue, customer experience, operational efficiency, and brand reputation.
At Mastercard, we believe no payment performance issue should go unnoticed. With that in mind, we built MEDI to ensure that no critical payment performance signal goes unanswered.
Through real-time intelligence and AI-driven insights, MEDI helps customers identify issues faster, resolve them sooner, and protect business performance. Our vision is to become the network's real-time payment performance intelligence layer, turning billions of transactions into actionable insights that strengthen trust, resilience, and performance.
We're looking for a Director, Product Management to lead MEDI's next wave of growth and the team responsible for defining and commercializing future product innovations.
This is not a traditional product management role focused on incremental feature development. Role Responsibilities• Lead customer and market discovery to identify, validate, and prioritize new product opportunities.• Conduct opportunity sizing, business case development, and investment recommendations.• Translate customer needs into product concepts, customer journeys, MVPs, success metrics, and business requirements.• Lead initiatives spanning AI, agentic user experiences, APIs, agentic commerce, stablecoins, third-party partnerships, and more.• Partner with Product Development teams to shape solutions and deliver new capabilities.• Contribute to pricing, commercialization, and go-to-market strategies alongside Product Enablement and Sales.• Be accountable for MEDI's success, including adoption, customer value realization, retention, revenue growth, and strategic objectives.• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Managers while fostering accountability, ownership, continuous learning, and customer-centric decision making.• Establish scalable product management processes, frameworks, and best practices.• Build strong cross-functional partnerships and align stakeholders around priorities and execution plans.• Communicate product strategy, performance, recommendations, and risks to audiences ranging from operational teams to executive leadership.• Anticipate, manage, and mitigate product, commercial, operational, and execution risks.• Resolve complex cross-functional challenges and conflicts while maintaining alignment and delivery momentum.
We're Looking for Someone Who Has• Experience in product management, product strategy, consulting, or related roles within payments, fintech, or technology.• Experience leading customer discovery, opportunity assessment, business case development, and commercialization initiatives.• Experience managing Product Managers and developing high-performing teams.• Experience defining product requirements and bringing new capabilities to market.• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and prioritization skills.• Understanding of data products, APIs, and emerging technologies such as (agentic) AI.• Understanding of pricing, value proposition development, and go-to-market strategy.• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and executive influence skills.• Experience building scalable operating models, processes, or best practices.• Ability to navigate ambiguity, resolve conflicts, and drive alignment across stakeholders.• High ownership, curiosity, and a passion for building new things.
Why Join MEDI?
The next era of payments will be defined not only by speed, but by intelligence.
MEDI is redefining how payment performance is monitored and optimized across the global payments ecosystem. We're helping customers move from issue detection to diagnosis and resolution faster than ever before through data, AI, and deep payment expertise.
