As a Portfolio Management Director here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be responsible for managing the Avionics Traffic and Surveillance product lines. Your leadership will be crucial in driving product strategy and ensuring alignment with market needs.

You will report directly to our Senior Leadership Team and you’ll work out of our Deer Valley, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the overall success of our product offerings, driving growth and profitability through effective management and strategic direction of our portfolio.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute strategies for the traffic and surveillance product lines.
  • Manage product lifecycle from ideation to retirement, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product features and drive successful product launches.
  • Drive OEM and Aftermarket / RMU demand to achieve AOP.

Product Strategy and Roadmap Development

  • Develop and execute the overall strategy for the company’s product portfolio encompassing both existing and new offerings
  • Understand market needs, competitive landscape, and internal capabilities to define the direction of the business 
  • Define and prioritize portfolio investments based on strategic fit, market potential, and financial viability

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of products within the portfolio, from concept development through end-of-life decisions
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (e.g., R&D, engineering, marketing, sales, operations) to define product roadmaps, feature enhancements, and product differentiation strategies
  • Monitor product performance metrics, including revenue growth, profitability, and market share, and make data-driven decisions to optimize portfolio performance

Stakeholder Management and Collaboration

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and senior management on portfolio strategy, performance, and market dynamics
  • Foster collaboration and alignment across functions to drive portfolio growth and profitability
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and key customers to drive co-development opportunities and enhance product offerings

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency within the portfolio
  • Stay in touch with industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation
  • Champion a culture of innovation and excellence within the offering management team, encouraging creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 8+ years experience in product management or portfolio management roles, ideally in an Avionics product line.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Strong business / financial acumen and experience with green-sheets.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management and strategic planning.
