The PMO Director of iBase-t Professional Services is responsible for overseeing the Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure that Professional Service programs and projects meet customer and organizational goals. This role is focused on customer delivery projects and involves developing and implementing PMO processes and policies, directing project management staff, collaborating with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and developing implementation methods. The PMO director will also be responsible for the project escalation process and maintaining executive level relationships with key customers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the identification, development, and implementation of PMO processes and policies and align iBase-t Solumina implementation practices with sound PMO practices to create a repeatable and scalable Solumina Deployment Methodology focused on Fast Time To Value.
- Manage risks and issues that may arise during customer project execution and ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices.
- Direct project management staff and provide guidance and support, provide training and mentoring to project management staff, and facilitate communication and coordination among project teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with customers, sales, and other professional services teams to define, prioritize, develop, and run customer projects and programs and develop and manage customer project budgets, timelines, and resources.
- Monitor customer project progress and performance and provide regular updates to senior management and implement process improvements to enhance project management efficiency.
- Responsible for forecasting Professional Services project revenue, costs and project resource needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing or Operations.
- 10+ years project management experience implementing commercial software solutions interacting with customer executives to manage governance
- 10+ years of experience working with Aerospace & Defense customers
- PMP, PMI, or other relevant certifications preferred.
- 5+ years of managing teams of program or project managers.
- Deep knowledge of PMO processes and methodologies.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Basecamp).
- Proven track record of delivering high value project/program outcomes for Aerospace & Defense customers.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Faster Time To Value – new implementation timelines decrease from xx weeks to yy weeks
- Customer Value Drivers are front and center to all project documentation from scope, to user stories and epics to test scripts to value tracking tools implemented by the customer.
- Projects are deliver on time, on budget and to the defined scope. All change is documented, approved and managed through change orders.
- Project Managers are achieving targeted billable utilization.
- Team knowledge is captured in a reusable Knowledge Framework accessible to the entire iBase-t organization.
