About the Role:

We are seeking a strategic, visionary, and technically proficient Director of Platform to lead the development and evolution of our core platform services. This role will oversee platform engineering, developer experience, infrastructure, and the systems that enable scalable product development across the organization. You’ll play a critical role in setting the architectural vision, ensuring platform reliability, and empowering teams to build high-quality products efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the long-term vision for the platform, aligning with business goals and product strategy.

• Team Management: Lead and grow high-performing platform teams, including engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure.

• Platform Architecture: Oversee the design and evolution of the company’s internal platforms, ensuring they are robust, secure, and scalable.

• Developer Experience: Improve tools, processes, and platforms to accelerate developer productivity and streamline CI/CD pipelines.

• Infrastructure & Operations: Ensure platform reliability, observability, performance, and cost efficiency across cloud and on-prem environments.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, security, data, and engineering teams to deliver seamless platform solutions.

• Innovation & Standards: Establish engineering best practices, promote reusability, and drive adoption of new technologies that align with business needs.

• Budget & Vendor Management: Manage platform budget, evaluate third-party services, and vendors.
  

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering or platform-related roles, with at least 3–5 years in technical leadership positions.

• Strong background in building and scaling distributed systems, on-prem platforms, and infrastructure as code.

• Deep understanding of DevOps practices, and modern software development lifecycle.

• Proven success in managing and mentoring engineering leaders and cross-functional teams.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
