Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with a $2.17B credit union in Pennsylvania in the search for a Director of Payment Operations.
The Director of Payment Operations will lead the operational elements of all Payments units, with responsibility for maximizing efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability while delivering an exceptional member and employee experience. This leader will oversee daily operations, team development, process improvement, and execution of the organization’s strategic payments roadmap.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Payments team, including coaching, mentoring, training, and performance management.
- Oversee department production targets and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead payments projects and initiatives, including process automation, system efficiencies, and operational improvements.
- Partner with senior leadership to execute the strategic payments roadmap.
- Ensure all Payments divisions operate efficiently while meeting compliance requirements and established timelines.
- Manage departmental budgets and monitor performance throughout the year.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on projects, processes, and strategic initiatives.
- Represent the credit union at community and volunteer events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of discipline-specific experience.
- 5+ years of people management experience.
- Advanced management experience preferred.
- Proven ability to collaborate across departments and lead complex projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of applicable payments regulations, processes, and requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive process improvements, and execute strategic initiatives.
