Packard Culligan Water is seeking a dynamic Director of Operations to lead the development and execution of operational strategy that drives efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth across our organization. This senior leadership role oversees operational performance, financial results, customer service standards, and resource planning while ensuring strong compliance with safety, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

 This position plays a critical role in fostering a high‑performance culture, strengthening operational leadership capabilities, and driving continuous improvement through data‑driven decision‑making. The role also partners closely with Sales, Finance, Human Resources, and Technology to support operational effectiveness, workforce planning, and an exceptional customer experience.

Operations Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and align long‑term and short‑term operational strategies that support company direction, customer priorities, market conditions, and growth targets.
  • Ensure consistent customer service standards across all dealerships by reviewing customer feedback and addressing concerns proactively.
  • Lead the creation and execution of a strong business plan that guides operational teams toward performance goals.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and market shifts to develop forward‑looking solutions that improve efficiency, retention, and profitability.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Allocate resources strategically to maximize return on investment and support high‑impact initiatives.
  • Use data and analytics to forecast staffing and operational resource needs across markets.
  • Lead teams in developing innovative strategies that support efficiency, growth, and operational excellence.

Operations Team Leadership 

  • Build trust across all levels of the organization through clear direction, transparency, and timely feedback.
  • Provide strong leadership through coaching, development, and performance management for direct reports, and ensure these practices cascade throughout operational teams.
  • Drive accountability to achieve annual operating budgets and performance targets.
  • Review and analyze financial statements and key metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure team alignment with the company’s Vision/Traction Organizer (VTO).
  • Strengthen operational leadership capabilities and expand training and development opportunities.
  • Lead teams through change by supporting adoption of new behaviors, processes, and technologies.

Cross‑Functional Leadership 

  • Collaborate with Regional Area Managers, Sales, and Finance to develop and manage operating budgets and capital expenditure plans.
  • Provide guidance and coordination for sales‑related activities in partnership with Sales Leadership.
  • Partner with Human Resources on workforce planning, safety, capability building, engagement, and performance management.
  • Work closely with Technology teams on ERP enhancements that improve customer experience and operational proficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of executive‑level operational leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of building strong collaborative relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to gain buy‑in at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on operational execution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years leading multi‑business‑unit operations; experience in the water industry or a related field is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success executing operational strategy across multiple locations.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and P&L management.

Licenses & Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% for business needs.
  • Must successfully pass a background check, drug test, and Motor Vehicle Check.

Technology Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with IFS or similar ERP systems.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Primarily office‑based with regular interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Frequent sitting, talking, and computer work; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to drive a personal vehicle and maintain safe driving habits.
