The Director of Operations will oversee the daily operations of CT United FC, ensuring a seamless and efficient operational structure that supports the club's mission and strategic goals. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the professional soccer landscape. The Director of Operations will work closely with the club’s leadership team, coaching staff, and external partners to enhance the operational effectiveness and overall success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the club.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to establish operational goals and objectives aligned with the club’s strategic vision.
  • Oversee the operational staff, including facilities management, equipment management, and game day operations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of operational professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Prepare and manage the operations budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to meet operational needs.
  • Monitor expenses and implement cost-control measures as necessary.
  • Ensure the maintenance and readiness of all training facilities and venues used for home games.
  • Coordinate logistics for home and away games, including travel arrangements and accommodations for players and staff.
  • Plan and execute club events, including match days, community outreach programs, and team-building activities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote club events and enhance fan engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with all league and regulatory requirements, including player safety and health protocols.
  • Develop and implement emergency procedures and safety protocols for staff and players.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations management, preferably within professional sports or a related industry.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage teams and collaborate across departments.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of the soccer landscape, particularly within the MLS and MLS Next Pro framework.
  • Proficient in budget management and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the operational schedule.
