Job Description
The Omnichannel OME Activation Director will play a key leadership position in the US market driving the best in class omnichannel strategy with the ability to fulfill our Company's Experience vision (OME). This role will be responsible for the acceleration and implementation of omnichannel and NBE initiatives throughout the US market and expanding the partnership between the Brand Teams and Global counterparts. This role will enable OME via building and scaling the technical capabilities and ways of working to enable segmentation and targeting. This role requires ability to influence and partner with senior leadership across multiple geographies, business units, and functional areas to identify how to meet the unique needs via leveraging advanced automation and modeling capabilities. This role holds the critical responsibility of planning and executing optimizations and innovation to both the NBE model and Marketing Automation tools.
This role must have extensive knowledge in overall engagement channels from a customer and consumer engagement perspective as well as deep technical understanding of Life Sciences data sets (e.g., claims, electronic health records) and advanced modeling approaches. Using this expertise, this role roles translates brand specific customer journeys and engagement strategies into the data and algorithms required to determine the appropriate channels and timing required to execute that strategy, enabling seamless connection of brand strategies with technical execution.
The incumbent will have the responsibility of defining and enabling a closed loop insight process to drive optimal customer engagement. This role will need to lead the content tagging workstream which will drive better insights. Ability to innovate using latest technologies such as GenAI and ML to execute pilots which will deliver business impact across the HH landscape.
This role drives collaboration across different verticals to execute new engagement experience and drive outcomes for brands. Furthermore, this role must have adept communication skills to effectively articulate insights and requirements about these subject areas with various teams to ensure clarity and alignment with objectives.

  • Activate and deliver the our Company's Experience goals by enabling the precision targeting for each individual Customer or Consumer based on brand-specific data sets (both internal and external) and algorithms to ensure a fully tailored and unique experience.
  • Lead a team to drive the development of our Company's US Market Next Best Engagement and Omnichannel capabilities across Vaccines, Oncology, and Pharma and Rare Disease Business Units to tailor the engagement experience for each consumer or customer.
  • Collaborate with broader S&CO teams to execute the customer engagement strategy and customer journey defined by brand teams and other S&CO functions.
  • Responsible for driving OME Activation by translating brand strategy across BUs and brands/indications into impactful next best experience insights and suggestions.
  • Spearhead innovation in customer engagement by planning and executing pilots using GenAI with a vision to integrate within our Company's ecosystem.
  • Define and prioritize tasks related to a tagging CoE which will enable an end-end content insight workflow. Work in close contact with global CTAP product owners on defining the product roadmaps.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the unique priorities, challenges and needs for each Business Unit to prioritize and deliver a comprehensive roadmap for the Next Best Engagement and Marketing Automation Tools.
  • Forge partnerships with leadership across various departments, including Human Health Digital, Data, and Analytics, Information Technology, Business Unit Marketing, and S&CO team to integrate new data sets, develop new algorithms, and enable competitive differentiation for our Company.
  • As the product owner for our Company's US Market Next Best Engagement engine and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Automation tools, the individual is responsible for strategic decisioning around associated investments, priorities, and capability development.
  • Actively develop the associate director-level team members, focusing on leveraging and strengthening employees' skills, deepening subject matter knowledge, and creating new growth opportunities.


Education Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Master's in Business Administration or Masters in Information Technology or Masters in related science preferred


Required Experience and Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: Omnichannel strategy, multichannel marketing, digital analytics or business lead for IT initiatives.
  • Experience working on and leading agile teams
  • Demonstrates customer-centric, growth mindset and mental agility to meet business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively, challenge the status quo, and drive change
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize initiatives, work and mobilize resources to drive release plans
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business process improvement and measurement of results (metrics and KPIs)
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate and adjust communications to the audience
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management; ability to gain leadership sponsorship
  • Strong team leadership skills - ability to help teams understand the big picture, their role, and expectations to work together to achieve objectives


Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Ability to translate business needs to omnichannel capabilities.
  • 5+ years management experience of both employees and contractors in a matrixed environment
  • Led a large operation
  • Change management skills - ability to gain sponsorship for change and work as a change agent to effectively drive change
  • Strong understanding or aptitude to learn business processes, practices and regulations pertaining to the pharma industry in the US Market
  • SCRUM and/or PO certification preferred
