Unique leadership opportunity at a small Skilled Nursing Facility with high staff-to-patient ratio.
The Company: Meadowbrook Village Christian Retirement Community is a non-profit organization in Escondido that opened in 2009 with the mission to "honor God by serving others with love and compassion." We are licensed as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) and offer independent, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing services. Our 19-bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) opened in 2017 and is housed in the same building as our 22-bed Memory Care.
Summary of Position: The Director of Nursing (DON) ensures high-quality care for all residents by planning, overseeing, and evaluating the day-to-day functions of nursing services in accordance with the company's policies and mission. To do this successfully, the DON will follow federal and state regulations, promote teamwork and accountability among the staff, communicate with family of residents, demonstrate genuine concern for individualized needs of each resident, and maintain accurate and organized records.
Pay & Benefits: Full-time salary (FLSA exempt) position. Pay range dependent on experience, to be discussed in interview. Qualifications & Requirements:
To be considered for this position, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
-Be licensed in California as a Registered Nurse (RN)
-Have a minimum of 1 year experience in nursing supervision within the last five years
-Have a minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in related field (SNF experience preferred)
-Have documentation of current CPR training
-Be able to pass a fingerprinted criminal background check (DOJ Livescan)
-Be able to pass a health screening, TB test and drug test
-Be able to bend, stretch, pull, push, etc. as needed for administrative tasks
-Be familiar with basic operations of Microsoft Word, Excel
-Ability to communicate professionally in writing and verbally

Skills Required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
