Lead complex, high-value negotiations and contract strategies for healthcare-related service, licensing, and IP-based agreements across North America, while supporting product lines in developing competitive, IP-driven business strategies.
This is a hybrid role and the ideal candidate will be located in Piscataway NJ/ Birmingham AL/ Lafayette IN.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and close complex, high-stakes negotiations for licensing, service, supply, and IP-related commercial agreements
- Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contracts (e.g., confidentiality, service, supply, licensing, development)
- Develop and execute IP licensing strategies to maximize revenue, market reach, and alignment with business goals
- Partner cross-functionally with product, legal, IP, finance, and sales teams to support deal execution and strategy
- Act as primary contact for active contracts, manage amendments, and resolve project-related issues
- Provide training and guidance on contract management processes and best practices
- Protect and leverage intellectual property to enhance profitability and long-term competitive advantage
- Maintain and update contract templates to reflect evolving business and legal requirements
- Lead or support strategic initiatives and special projects to drive innovation and organizational success
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, technical, business, or legal field; IP or business training preferred
- 5+ years of experience in pharma, CDMO/CMO, or venture capital, with focus on business development, licensing, M&A, or procurement
- Proven track record of successfully leading and closing complex negotiations and deals
- Strong expertise in intellectual property, preferably within CDMO/CMO and pharma drug development
- Ability to simplify complexity, assess risk, and develop practical, creative contract solutions
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, including engagement with senior stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex ideas clearly
- Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional, and collaborative environment
- Proactive, resourceful, and results-driven mindset in fast-paced or ambiguous settings
Summary Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. (Specific rate to be determined, but not limited to, geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).
Pay Range: $123,500-$223,600
