As part of the Patient Support Pillar, this position directs initiatives to support the adoption and integration of navigation, including workforce development and training, leveraging program assets and capabilities of ACS to address barriers to high quality cancer care. This position applies knowledge and skills in planning, executing, and evaluating training curriculum and other key initiatives, in collaboration with internal and external partners and stakeholders. This position may lead or contribute to other navigation activities as part of ACS’ comprehensive strategy, serving as one of the ACS leads for patient navigation efforts and as a resource to other ACS departments to ensure appropriate integration of activities. This position represents ACS externally through collaborative initiatives, and models and practices ACS’ health equity principles in all work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- In collaboration with the VP, Navigation and other key stakeholders, serves as a subject matter expert to lead the design and execution of program activities, manages workflows, develops program resources, oversees daily operations and spending, and provides regular reports and updates to stakeholders. (35%)
- Oversees data collection, develops data reports, leads program evaluation, identifies areas for program and process improvement, and supports ongoing dissemination of work through internal and external channels. (25%)
- Builds and manages relationships with key partners, vendors, consultants, and other stakeholders to maximize program utilization, facilitating cross-department communication and collaboration. (20%)
- Provides guidance, coordination, and oversight to ensure the team functions effectively and remains aligned with program goals. (20%)
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree with 8 years relevant experience acceptable
- Preferred Degree: Master's Degree

- Minimum 5 years of experience managing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating public health or patient care programs.
- Minimum 3-5 years of people leader or supervisory experience.

- Ability to speak knowledgeably about the Society's mission, priorities, and cancer care delivery strategies in a wide variety of settings.
