The Director, National Owner Accounts & Strategy is responsible for defining and executing the commercial strategy for national owner accounts, driving enterprise growth through long-term partnerships, and elevating the company’s position as a preferred solutions provider. Reporting to the President, this role leads a focused team accountable for national account relationships, strategic opportunity development, and cross-functional alignment to deliver measurable revenue growth, margin expansion, and customer retention.

The focus will be on increasing revenue and expanding specification share across Zurn Elkay’s portfolio through new construction opportunities and growth within the existing installed base.

The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of the plumbing and wholesale industry, the buying process and how decisions are made working with national owners. This leader will bring a consultative approach to selling, and expertise in creating bundled solutions that meet client needs. This role supports key segments such as healthcare, hospitality, retail, convenience stores, and commercial real estate.

Job Functions

  • Develop and Execute NOA Sales Strategy
  • Define and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the NOA segment, building strong relationships with key customer executives.
  • Build multi-year account plans focused on revenue growth, share-of-wallet expansion, and strategic positioning
  • Drive disciplined account planning cadence with clear KPIs, pipeline visibility, and performance tracking
  • Stay informed on healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and industry trends to position products effectively.
  • Establish ambitious objectives for revenue and specification share growth, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Strategy, Analytics & Reporting
  • Lead forecasting, strategic planning, and budgeting efforts for national channels.
  • Translate market data and account performance metrics into strategic actions and optimization plans.

Deliver Results

  • Track key metrics, implement countermeasures when goals are at risk, and ensure consistent execution of deployment plans.
  • Partner with internal teams (marketing, product, operations) to deliver customized solutions that meet vertical specific needs.
  • Work closely with Product Management to inform innovation, roadmap priorities, and solution development

Manage and Inspire a High-Performing Team

  • Lead, coach, and develop National Account Managers and marketing specialists to deliver sustained growth and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Champion and execute the company’s 80/20 strategy to maximize impact and achieve NOA sales targets.
  • Negotiate Strategic Agreements
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key national owners, developers, and decision-makers
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership to secure long-term business agreements across Zurn Elkay’s full product portfolio, including digital solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of regional, national, or territory sales experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • 5+ years experience in construction and proven relationships with owner level. Strong knowledge of construction building needs and compliance standards. Understanding of the GPOs and demonstrated success of building strong relationships with them
  • Proven success driving sales in the plumbing or water management industry
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong business insight and ability to translate vision into actionable plans
  • Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and collaborate across teams
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accountable with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Inspirational leader with a passion for delivering world-class customer experiences

Location: USA Field

Travel: 50%

The compensation range identified below are a good faith estimate of the salary expected to be paid as performed from these locations. Actual salaries may vary based on compensable factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, education and training, and other relevant business and organizational factors. Most candidates will start in the lower half of the range.

Base Salary Range: $172,000 - $257,000
