Freeosk is looking for a Director of Media Insights & Measurement who will report to the Vice President, Marketing. Our ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling through data. They have a keen ability to break down complex problems and can act as an insights advisor and educator for all levels in the organization. 


This role will be highly cross-functional by working across teams including Product, CX, and Analytics in addition to the primary stakeholders across commercial needs. Your time will be spent developing pre/post campaign strategic insights, filling knowledge gaps with external data and/or shopper research studies, and being the source of truth on how Freeosk products perform in the market. You will work closely with the executive leadership team to drive both short-term tactical and long-term strategic direction.


To be successful in this role, you must have demonstrated experience in developing and executing digital marketing analytics, ad effectiveness reporting, and shopper research. You understand how to translate findings into actionable insights and influence change through data-driven storytelling. A strong understanding of Retail Media and CPG will set you apart as you help propel the organization to the next phase of growth.


We work in a distributed environment. Our office is in Chicago, but you can be located within the continental United States. Travel will be required to our Chicago office from time to time.

Key responsibilities for this role...

  • Build an Insights function that will not only support Sales-Marketing efforts but also help the organization optimize revenue through key insights that support product innovation and retail expansion

Develop Client Facing Reports and Marketing Materials (30%)

  • Develop and evolve Freeosk reporting to deliver on client needs and business objectives
  • Provide ongoing support for Sales by interpreting and translating insights into actionable recommendations for clients, including leveraging internal and external data sources
  • Extended support for Tier A clients with bespoke reports and asks

Prioritize and Deliver Insights Requests Partnering w/ Analytics Team (30%)

  • Be the point-person for incoming insights and/or analytics requests for the business
  • Translate and prioritize business requests in partnership with Analytics to deliver in an efficient and effective manner
  • Lead and deliver on these requests to key stakeholders

Support Leadership, Product, Retail Partnership, and CX Teams (20%)

  • Field and address inbound requests from cross-functional teams by developing and translating insights into actionable strategy and recommendations for the business
  • Develop compelling reasons to believe in Freeosk for both current and future Retailer partners

General Support & Education (10%)

  • Stay well-informed of emerging external trends/market dynamics to identify signals in the marketplace that could impact our business
  • Offer training and education as needed to support cross-functional teams’ learning goals

Support Ad Hoc Special Projects (10%)

  • Provide assistance with projects outside of parameters listed above

Your skills, background and experience include…

  • 7+ years of digital media measurement experience
  • Proven track record of developing and actioning business-critical insights
  • Understanding of CPG (brand or consumer) and Retail Media Networks is desired
  • MBA/MS is a plus
