Role Overview
We are seeking a Director of Marketing & Operations to lead and oversee Zen Media’s day-to-day marketing initiatives and operational efficiency. This role is ideal for a professional with a proven background in B2B marketing, operational management, and team leadership. The Director will be responsible for driving marketing strategy, managing client-facing campaigns, ensuring delivery excellence, and overseeing internal operations to support Zen Media’s continued growth.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, remain calm and confident under pressure, and bring experience in leading and motivating high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Zen Media’s marketing and operational strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Oversee execution of B2B marketing campaigns across PR, digital, content, and paid media channels.
- Manage and mentor cross-functional teams to ensure excellence in delivery and client satisfaction.
- Develop and refine operational processes, workflows, and reporting structures to drive efficiency.
- Collaborate with leadership to set KPIs and performance goals for both marketing and operations.
- Provide regular performance reports and insights to executive leadership and clients.
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of client campaigns, projects, and initiatives.
- Partner with sales and account teams to support client acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
- Represent Zen Media with professionalism and authority in client-facing communications.
Qualifications
- Calm, confident leadership style with the ability to manage complex projects and client expectations.
- Proven track record (7+ years) in marketing and operations leadership, ideally within B2B or agency settings.
- Experience in managing and scaling teams, with a focus on collaboration and accountability.
- Strong knowledge of B2B marketing strategies, digital channels, and PR integration.
- Preferably has a personal portfolio of past marketing/operations work demonstrating measurable impact.
- Solid organizational and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment while managing multiple priorities.
It’s a plus if you have:
- Experience in enterprise, SaaS, professional services, or manufacturing industries.
- Familiarity with PR-driven marketing models and earned/shared media strategies.
- Previous success in operational scaling of a digital or PR agency.
- Advanced knowledge of project management tools, CRMs, or automation systems.
