About the Role

Moove is seeking a Director of Network & IT to own the company's technology infrastructure, from the network in our depots and offices to the identity, devices, and systems every employee relies on.

You will set the strategy, standards, architecture, and vendor direction for the Network & IT function, and lead the team that delivers it. Your first direct report will be our IT Systems Administrator, who runs day-to-day employee support, hardware lifecycle, identity administration, and IT automation. You will set their priorities, review their work, and grow the team as Moove expands.

This is a hands-on leadership role based on-site at our Phoenix office. You will design and run the network and site infrastructure behind our autonomous vehicle operations, while making sure employees across multiple markets and time zones get dependable, secure IT service.

What You'll Be DoingStrategy and leadership
  • Define the Network & IT roadmap, standards, and architecture, aligned with Moove's operational and market-expansion plans.

  • Lead, coach, and set priorities for the IT Systems Administrator, and build out the team as the business grows.

  • Own the IT and network budget, including hardware, software licenses, connectivity, and vendor contracts.

  • Select and manage vendors, carriers, MSPs, and integrators, and hold them to service levels.

  • Report on IT service, network performance, security posture, and spend on leadership.

Network and site infrastructure
  • Design, deploy, and operate LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, firewall, and VPN infrastructure across depots, offices, and new market sites.

  • Lead network buildout for new sites, from requirements and ISP circuits through installation, testing, and handover.

  • Ensure the connectivity that autonomous vehicle depot operations depend on is reliable, monitored, and redundant where needed.

  • Establish network monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and incident response.

  • Partner with Facilities and Engineering on low-voltage cabling, physical security systems, and site technology.

Identity, security, and compliance
  • Own the identity and access architecture, including JumpCloud, SSO, MFA, and role-based access standards.

  • Set endpoint management and device security standards for macOS, Windows, ChromeOS, and mobile devices.

  • Define access review, offboarding, and data-retention controls with People, Legal, and Security stakeholders.

  • Lead IT incident response and maintain backup, recovery, and business continuity plans for core systems.

Employee IT, systems, and automation
  • Set service levels and processes for employee support, onboarding, and offboarding across markets and time zones.

  • Oversee the hardware lifecycle from procurement and deployment through recovery and retirement, including inventory accuracy.

  • Direct the IT automation roadmap, including integrations between Deel, JumpCloud, Google Workspace, Slack, and Jira.

  • Approve and review changes that affect employee access or business operations, and ensure automation is documented, monitored, and recoverable.

  • Administer and govern core business applications and their license footprint.

What You'll Need
  • At least 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, or IT operations, including at least 3 years leading an IT or network function or team.

  • Hands-on experience designing and operating enterprise networks: switching, routing, Wi-Fi, firewalls, VPN, and SD-WAN or multi-site WAN.

  • Experience building out network and IT infrastructure for new sites or locations, including ISP and vendor coordination.

  • Experience owning an identity platform such as JumpCloud, Okta, or Microsoft Entra ID, including SSO, MFA, and role-based access design.

  • Experience administering Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 at the organizational level.

  • Experience setting endpoint management and device security standards.

  • Experience managing IT and network budgets, vendor selection, and contract negotiation.

  • Working knowledge of IT automation and APIs, enough to set direction for and review scripted integrations.

  • Clear written and verbal communication with executives, technical staff, and non-technical employees.

  • Ability to work on-site in Phoenix and to travel to other Moove sites as needed.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with JumpCloud, Deel, Slack, Jira, or Asana.

  • Experience supporting industrial, logistics, fleet, or vehicle depot environments.

  • Experience with Azure or AWS networking and cloud identity.

  • Experience supporting employees across multiple countries and time zones.

  • Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar security frameworks.

  • Networking or security certifications such as CCNP, CISSP, or equivalent.

  • Experience in a growing company where IT processes and systems are still being established.

What Success Looks Like
  • Depots, offices, and new market sites have reliable, monitored connectivity, and network incidents are detected and resolved quickly.

  • New sites go live on a repeatable network and IT buildout plan.

  • Every employee has the right access on day one and loses it on time when they leave.

  • Identity, endpoint, and access standards are documented, enforced, and reviewed on a regular cadence.

  • The IT Systems Administrator has clear priorities, and repetitive IT work is progressively automated.

  • IT and network spend is planned, tracked, and tied to business needs.
