The successful candidate will play a critical role in protecting business continuity, enabling value creation, and delivering successful separation outcomes while partnering closely with Corporate Development, Finance, Legal, HR, business leadership, and external transaction partners.

This position provides an opportunity to expand into broader leadership responsibilities across Honeywell's Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestitures, and Separations (MADS) organization.

This role will sit in either our Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA office o a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

Lead Divestiture and Separation Programs

  • Lead all IT activities associated with divestitures, carve-outs, spin-offs, and separation transactions.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive IT separation strategies aligned with transaction objectives and business requirements.
  • Provide leadership throughout the transaction lifecycle, including diligence, planning, execution, Day 1 readiness, TSA management, TSA exit, and post-separation stabilization.
  • Establish governance, manage risks, resolve complex issues, and provide executive-level communications and reporting.

Drive Standalone Operating Model Development

  • Design and implement standalone IT operating models that support independent business operations.
  • Define future-state application, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, workplace, and support service strategies.
  • Develop standalone organizational structures, resource models, vendor strategies, and operating budgets.
  • Lead technology dependency assessments and transition planning activities required to achieve operational independence.

Lead TSA Strategy and Execution

  • Define TSA scope, service models, governance structures, and operational processes.
  • Partner with business, finance, legal, and transaction teams to support TSA negotiations and commercial discussions.
  • Oversee TSA enablement activities required to establish service delivery capabilities.
  • Manage TSA operations, service performance, issue resolution, and stakeholder communications throughout the transition period.
  • Develop and execute TSA exit strategies and drive successful transition to standalone operations.

Ensure Day 1 and Operational Readiness

  • Lead Day 1 planning and readiness activities to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
  • Oversee technology separation projects, testing, cutover planning, transition activities, and business continuity efforts.
  • Coordinate global, cross-functional teams across applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, workplace technologies, and data management.
  • Drive delivery of critical transaction milestones while minimizing operational risk and business disruption.

Financial and Commercial Leadership

  • Develop separation business cases, cost estimates, investment requirements, and financial forecasts.
  • Manage separation budgets, TSA financials, stranded cost analysis, and value realization opportunities.
  • Partner with Finance and business leaders to drive informed decisions that balance cost, risk, speed, and business outcomes.
  • Support transaction diligence activities through financial modeling, risk assessments, and technology evaluations.

Leadership and Organizational Development

  • Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams in a dynamic transaction environment.
  • Demonstrate situational leadership while influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, problem-solving, and execution excellence.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across Honeywell and external partners.
  • Support the ongoing evolution and growth of Honeywell's M&A and Separation capabilities.
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Significant experience leading large-scale IT divestitures, carve-outs, spin-offs, and business separations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in standalone operating model design and implementation.
  • Deep understanding of Day 1 readiness, Day 2 operations, and post-close separation execution.
  • Extensive experience with TSA strategy, TSA enablement, TSA operations, governance, and TSA exit execution.
  • Proven experience managing complex technology programs and cross-functional global teams.
  • Strong financial acumen, including business case development, budget management, and separation cost modeling.
  • Proven negotiation, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in fast-paced and highly ambiguous environments
