We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven Director to lead our Diagnostic Inside Sales organization. This leader will drive revenue growth, optimize sales performance, and deliver a best-in-class customer experience across a complex diagnostics portfolio. Reporting to the Vice President of our North American Companion Animal Group/Customer Facing Organization, this role requires strong business leadership, operational rigor, and the ability to translate strategy into measurable commercial outcomes.
In the role of Director, Inside Sales you will:
Commercial Leadership: Own and drive inside sales strategy to achieve revenue growth, pipeline development, and market expansion across diagnostic products and services
Sales Performance: Lead forecasting, pipeline management, KPIs, and sales effectiveness to consistently exceed targets
Customer Engagement: Strengthen customer relationships through a high-quality, insight-driven inside sales model focused on retention, upsell, and customer satisfaction
Strategy Execution: Align inside sales strategy with broader commercial and corporate priorities; identify growth opportunities and competitive positioning
Operational Excellence: Optimize sales processes, tools, and workflows to improve efficiency, conversion, and scalability. Ability to create accountability structures (KPIs, dashboards, performance management).
People Leadership: Build, coaching, and develop high-performing inside sales teams, leaders and individual contributors; foster accountability, engagement, and talent growth. Experience managing remote or distributed teams
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, field sales, product, and customer support to deliver integrated commercial strategies
Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Advance digital, data-driven sales capabilities and champion new approaches to accelerate growth
Culture & Engagement: Experience building a performance-driven but positive culture, strong communication skills across large teams and ability to maintain engagement and morale at scale, especially in high-pressure environments
What you need to succeed:
10–15+ years of progressive commercial or sales leadership experience, with 6–10+ years leading, sales leaders and managing their team's business performance
Proven leadership in inside sales, commercial operations, or diagnostic/life sciences sales environments
Consistent record of meeting/exceeding revenue targets
Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience managing revenue targets and performance metrics
Ability to balance customer needs, operational priorities, and business outcomes
Demonstrated success in building scalable inside sales models and driving transformation
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder influence skills
Location:
Candidates will be required to be on site 3 days a week in our Westbrook, ME office.
