  • Drive Cybersecurity and Compliance: Establish and maintain cybersecurity programs aligned with NIST, CMMC, and federal requirements to protect company intellectual property, proprietary data, and classified systems.
  • Manage Information System Security (ISSM) Functions: Direct the security posture of classified networks, including documentation, monitoring, auditing, and adherence to government security standards.
  • Oversee IT Risk, Disaster Recovery, and Continuity Planning: Develop and implement enterprise IT risk management, business continuity, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Develop Policies and Governance: Create, maintain, and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards that support secure and efficient operations.

  • Manage Vendors and Managed Service Providers: Negotiate IT-related contracts, oversee MSP performance, and manage vendor relationships to ensure service quality and value.
  • Guide IT Project Portfolio Execution: Lead feasibility studies, system improvement initiatives, and major technology projects while communicating cost, value, and risk to executive leadership.
  • Maintain Government and Agency Coordination: Build and maintain relationships with U.S. government agencies responsible for cybersecurity and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Monitor IT trends, incorporate lessons learned, and continuously enhance IT services and operational processes.

YOU’RE AWESOME AT:

  • Enterprise IT Infrastructure & Systems Leadership: Designing, implementing, and managing complex enterprise IT environments that include networks, servers, engineering systems, and telecommunications.
  • Cybersecurity & Regulatory Compliance: Applying NIST, CMMC, and federal security frameworks to protect sensitive, proprietary, and classified information.
  • High-Availability IT Operations: Running mission-critical, 24/7 IT environments with strong incident management, outage reduction, and service delivery performance.
  • Technical Leadership & Organizational Impact: Leading IT teams, managing vendors, mentoring staff, and clearly communicating technical risks, priorities, and solutions to executives and stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (advanced certifications or training preferred).
  • 10 or more years of experience in IT leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of IT requirements for U.S. Government contracts (NIST, CMMC, etc.).
  • Experience with enterprise IT systems design, infrastructure, and implementation.
  • Proven experience managing IT projects, Managed Service Providers (MSPs), and external vendors.
  • Aerospace and defense industry experience with classified IT systems preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
