General Description:

The Director GTS TechOps ERP will be the global lead for technology leadership in planning and strategy, architecture, deployment, management and support of BeOne’s SAP platforms for the TechOps organization. This includes support for all TechOps areas including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Clinical and Quality.

The ideal candidate should bring experience working in a global environment including cloud/SaaS exposure and introducing new technologies and change in a dynamic environment. The candidate should also be experienced in IT as a business partner from a strategy, technology, security, process, finance, and people management standpoint. Ideal candidate should have IT background in the Biopharmaceutical industry. The individual must be a self-starter and demonstrate excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and collaborate with employees, partners, and management at all levels.

Essential Functions of the job:

Architecture of SAP Solution to meet TechOps business requirements:

  • In partnership with project consultants and ERP CoE, align on suitable architecture of ERP solution, e.g., single or multiple instances, keeping in mind regional requirements.
  • Advise on best practices for the deployment of ERP across multiple entities and geographies.
  • Proactively and effectively communicate and collaborate with the user community to address the need for ERP and other integrated applications (e.g., MES, WMS, LIMS, CMMS, etc.).
  • Enhance business processes through the development of global solutions to meet business needs.

Implementation of SAP:

  • Understand business model and processes and work with key stakeholders on evolving the ERP long term roadmap.
  • Work with SAP Project Manager, (external) Consulting Team and (internal) Core Business Team for the successful configuration, unit testing, integration testing and user acceptance testing of the ERP implementation.
  • Proactively and effectively communicate and collaborate with the User Community to address ERP needs and requirements across all operations.
  • Support the building of and effectively manage Integration Points between SAP and other systems.
  • Perform risk assessments of enterprise apps and work closely with project teams on building/configuring applications security.
  • Actively participate in Project Reviews with the Project Management Office and the Steering Committee to ensure adequacy of project resources, adherence to timelines and budgetary control.
  • Create clearly defined Instructions and Structured Documentation to track and control project scope.
  • Develop User Documentation in cooperation with the Consultants and Core Business Team.

Ongoing Support & Maintenance:

  • Adopt and contribute to the Global Template and Change Management Process to streamline the solutions and ensure effective control over changes required for localization or legal requirements.
  • In partnership with the ERP CoE, contribute to the development of policies, standards & baselines to ensure a consistent and secure framework for governance.
  • Evaluate impact of Support Maintenance Patches, Version Upgrades and integration on New Bolt-on Applications as required.
  • Guide team to support maintenance requests from business.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  

  • Will have technical leadership or supervisory responsibilities over the GTS TechOps ERP team.
  • Strong team player who engages with peers to define, sponsor, and execute continuous improvements.
  • Proven leadership at a senior level directing a team of manager direct reports and associate staff
  • Strong in business analysis and process mapping, and communication/presentation skills
  • Ability to quickly assimilate knowledge of new platforms, languages, tools and technologies
  • Manage resources and services at global sites
  • Leadership experience in managing SAP functional leaders and numerous consultants
  • Must be an effective leader and communicator and considered to be a developer of people who is comfortable working with a broad cross section of people in direct and matrixed relationships
  • Experience leading technology functions in Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or Life Science companies

Computer Skills:

  • Be familiar with MS office 365 applications.
  • Expert in SAP functions and configurations
  • Professional in using project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Projects.

Other Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in ERP functions and processes
  • Strong knowledge of SOX 404 and compliance practices.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA CFR Part 11 Software Validation processes
  • Must have experience in at least 2 SAP fullcycle project implementations in the TechOps space.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in SAP project management at a senior level for global SAP implementations
  • Strong process improvement skills and orientation
  • Must have proven business and technology skills, with success providing customer-oriented technology solutions environment
  • Demonstrated success as a change agent leading significant transformational initiatives in organizations.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or related technological field and minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in managing and leading full lifecycle projects in SAP.

Travel:  Periodic domestic and international travel Less than 20%

Salary Range: $172,500.00 - $232,500.00 annually

BeOne is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process.  Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
