Who we are:

We’re a team of dedicated experts creating a new way to commerce for the age of AI Shopping. fabric is on a mission to build the Agentic Commerce Infrastructure to help merchants grow, sell and optimize the commerce experience for everyone in today's AI-powered commerce landscape.

Headquartered in San Francisco, fabric was founded by a group of industry veterans determined to bring the same technical principles found at Amazon to retail. Leading retailers trust fabric to run their modern commerce business. No matter what field you are in, fabric has exciting opportunities for people passionate about making a difference and skilled at what they do!

Here are four questions you should ask yourself:

  • Do I believe in fabric's mission?
  • Do I prefer iteration, testing and learning over checklists?
  • Am I excited to use AI to experiment and work efficiently?
  • Am I motivated to disrupt e-commerce?

If the answer is yes, we want to talk to you!

Your next career:

Come build the future of commerce with us at fabric. We're building the Agentic Commerce Infrastructure to help merchants grow, sell, and operate in today's AI-powered shopping experience. Backed by top-tier investors and led by industry and AI veterans, our team is building foundational technology at the intersection of AI, commerce, and great user experience.

We're hiring a growth marketer to take ownership of how fabric enters the market, connects with buyers, and engages customers. This is a builder's role: you'll report to the CEO and partner with the executive team to shape that strategy and execute it across every touchpoint.

Today that means you're hands-on with everything: telling the right story on the website, running experiments across channels, building the martech stack, and standing up the systems that turn interest into pipeline. You'll lean heavily on AI tooling to move at a pace that punches above your headcount.

You'll have direct partnership with the CEO, real visibility into the business, and the room to build something that matters.

Your responsibilities:

  • Own the full growth loop, driving strategy and execution across acquisition, activation, retention, and expansion -  with accountability for pipeline measured in revenue impact.
  • Rapid validation of new product concepts - move from concept formation to live page, buyer signal and test mode.
  • Own fabric’s website end-to-end: shipping, testing, and optimizing without dependencies (Wordpress and Claude design a plus).
  • Run high-velocity experiments across every channel - approach LinkedIn, Instagram, X/Twitter as distinct platforms with unique signal generators and conversion logic.
  • Lead AI-first search and content strategy, including Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
  • Use  AI tools aggressively - your entire growth process is built around AI - from ideation and creative assets to analysis and iteration, resulting in consistent, increased output.
  • Build intelligent personalization infrastructure connecting marketing signals to the buyer journey - designing distinct experiences for enterprise and self-serve segments, with real-time identification and conversion optimization.
  • Own the infrastructure underneath the growth strategy. You will build and maintain the martech stack, automation, and lead scoring systems that make growth repeatable and measurable.
  • Be the connective tissue between teams - translating data into decisions across product, sales, and leadership, turning experiments into decisions and decisions into pipeline.

What you bring to the table:

  • 10+ years in growth marketing, with meaningful time in product-led SaaS with bottom-up PLG motions. You have a clear understanding of the full enterprise buying journey.
  • You bring storytelling, craftsmanship and great taste to your craft - you have good judgement and are well versed in industry trends, resulting in strong brand representation across all channels.
  • Demonstrated experience building growth systems from scratch in lean, resource-constrained environments; you have the ability to prioritize ruthlessly when everything feels urgent.
  • AI-first operator: AI tools aren't part of your workflow — they are your workflow. You use them to ideate, test, build, and analyze at a speed that fundamentally changes what a single marketer can accomplish and you’ve built or governed AI adoption programs (not just used the tools).
  • GEO and AI search fluency - you understand how discovery is shifting to AI-powered surfaces and have opinions as to how to increase visibility.
  • Personalization and infrastructure mindset - you’ve built buyer journey infrastructure that connects marketing, sales and customer data to drive conversion.
  • Hands-on experience with modern martech, AI tooling, and the composable stack - you can construct a dashboard, define metrics and move from insight to action.
  • Deep experimentation fluency - you've run hundreds of tests, know how to design them.
  • Operator wiring — your background in program management, ops, or systems design allows you to sit between marketing, sales, and product and translate clearly. Your processes unlock capacity without adding headcount.
  • Comfortable operating as the sole marketer with direct CEO visibility and accountability.
  • Experience in or adjacent to composable commerce or modern retail tech stacks is a strong plus.

What We Do

When contemplating the vision for fabric, our co-founder arrived at this: Commerce is about trade, and trade is social dealings between people. It’s also a common framework across all our differences as humans. People often connect through nationality, race, religion, and other constructs, but one of the best ways to connect is through commerce. To facilitate this, something is needed to revolutionize outdated e-commerce technology and platforms. We call this fabric.

Why Work With Us

Commerce is about social dealings between people that can happen between any person in any circumstance. We aim to facilitate these dealings with our commerce platform called fabric. Building fabric requires teammates as diverse as the people it serves and we welcome job applications from anyone aligned with our vision. Join the new commerce fabric
