What You’ll Be Doing as a Director, Global Supply Chain & Sourced Product:

This role plays a critical senior leadership role in shaping and executing the company’s global supply chain strategy. This position is ideal for a dynamic leader with a passion for the industry and deep product knowledge, who thrives on building strong supplier partnerships and driving operational excellence. The role influences key business outcomes by ensuring reliable supply, optimizing inventory, and fostering supplier relationships that serve as true extensions of our business.


This role executes a comprehensive global supply chain strategy for the Company, to include a strong focus on sourced products. Drives initiatives that ensure efficient, cost-effective systems and processes to support customer order fulfillment, supply chain planning, inventory management, global sourcing strategies, and purchasing activities. Demonstrates deep product knowledge and a passion for the industry to align supply chain decisions with customer expectations and market trends.

  • Partners with the VP, Manufacturing & Global Supply Chain to define and develop global supply chain strategies and action plans that support the Company’s business objectives. 
  • Oversees supply chain planning activities for sourced products across multiple categories, ensuring accurate forecasting, inventory optimization, and timely delivery to meet customer demand. 
  • Partners with the internal Inventory Manager to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained to support internal production needs while balancing cost and service objectives. 
  • Develops and executes global sourcing strategies for component parts and finished goods, leveraging market insights and product expertise to drive competitive advantage. 
  • Leads supplier development and partnership oversight, working closely with commodity managers to ensure suppliers are treated as strategic extensions of the business. Builds strong, collaborative relationships that foster innovation, quality, and reliability. 
  • Collaborates with Engineering on New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring supply chain readiness, supplier capability, and timely sourcing of components to support product launches.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of new or improved supply chain systems and architecture to enhance value chain performance and scalability. 
  • Partners cross-functionally to ensure supply chain processes deliver cost-effective, efficient operations while maintaining customer satisfaction and achieving business goals. 
  • Develops and tracks metrics and success criteria for all supply chain initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with strategic objectives. 
  • Leads, motivates, and develops supply chain team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and passion for the industry.

Skills and Experience You’ll Need as a Director, Global Supply Chain & Sourced Product:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or purchasing and 10+ years of progressive industry-specific experience in global sourcing, production planning, inventory management, and purchasing. Minimum of 5 years in a leadership/management role. Master’s Degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Industry Passion & Product Knowledge: Demonstrated enthusiasm for the industry and deep understanding of product categories to inform sourcing decisions and supplier partnerships. 
  • Global Supply Chain Expertise: Proven ability to develop and execute global sourcing strategies, manage complex supply networks, and optimize supply chain performance. 
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Skilled in building and maintaining strategic supplier partnerships, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering innovation. 
  • Inventory Collaboration: Experience partnering with internal inventory management teams to balance production needs, cost efficiency, and service levels. 
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable strategies to improve supply chain effectiveness. 
  • Leadership & Team Development: Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire teams to achieve operational excellence and continuous improvement. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Effective communicator and collaborator across multiple departments, driving alignment and shared success.

Work Environment for a Director, Global Supply Chain & Sourced Product:

Work is performed in a normal office environment with exposure to the manufacturing environment. Travel required “as needed”, with international travel approximately 4 times a year.
