As the Director, Global PMO, you are the ultimate owner of our project portfolio's success. Your role is to embody a culture of accountability, leading by example by becoming a subject matter expert in our products, customers, staffing, and delivery methodologies. You'll empower your team to take full ownership of their work, ensuring every project is delivered profitably, efficiently, and to the highest standard of client satisfaction. This leadership will be key to our ability to scale operations and consistently deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities & Tasks:
  • Own Project Success and Health: You will have ultimate accountability for the success and health of the entire implementation portfolio. This includes proactively identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget, and guaranteeing a high level of client satisfaction.

  • Deep Project Inspection & Accountability: You will lead and hold your team accountable for the deep inspection of all projects. Each project manager is individually responsible for actively tracking burn rate versus plan, closely monitoring plan versus actuals, and consistently investigating and chasing down variance. You will guide them in proactively escalating issues, performing root cause analysis (RCA), and driving to a resolution with urgency.

  • Cultivate Subject Matter Expertise: You will set the standard for expertise, becoming a subject matter expert in staffing, our customers, and products. You will build, coach, and hold your team accountable to these same high standards, ensuring every individual contributor is an expert in their domain.

  • Manage and Coach for Accountability: You'll manage a team of individual contributor project managers, coaching them to take full ownership of their projects. This involves providing clear expectations, regular feedback, and the necessary tools and support to ensure they are successful.

  • Strategic Execution & Goal Alignment: Translate strategic organizational goals into actionable project management plans. You'll ensure the PMO's objectives align with the department's financial targets for revenue, expense, and profitability.

  • Performance Management & Reporting: Manage and monitor the PMO's performance against key KPIs and metrics, including billable utilization, project/customer CSAT, time to implement, total time to first transaction, and variance to projected project duration. You will build and leverage project management tools and dashboards to provide real-time visibility and drive team accountability.

  • Process and Infrastructure Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize project management processes. This includes identifying and removing administrative tasks that impact productivity. You will also build and implement project management tools and dashboards to drive accountability and track client engagements, ensuring consistency across all projects to maximize efficiency.

  • Complex Project Oversight: Provide hands-on guidance for the team on complex, enterprise-level projects, particularly those with a duration of 2500+ hours or multi-year implementation cycles. You will work to ensure delivery quality and high customer satisfaction (CSAT scores).

  • Change Management & Integration: Assist in integrating project teams, especially during M&A events. You'll help to standardize processes and build a unified culture within the project management team.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
  • You have 7+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment.
