We are seeking a director to join our New York-based Fund Finance team. This role is focused on the origination, structuring, and execution of financing solutions for private equity sponsors and asset managers, with a core emphasis on NAV and subscription finance.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in banking or corporate finance, strong credit underwriting capabilities, and existing connectivity with private equity sponsor clients. This is a front-office role requiring end-to-end transaction execution, including credit paper preparation and KYC oversight.
Do work that matters:
- Execute and manage the full lifecycle of credit facilities and derivative lines for asset managers and financial sponsors
- Structure and deliver subscription credit facilities and NAV-based lending solutions
- Prepare and present credit papers for internal approval committees
- Oversee KYC onboarding and periodic client reviews
- Assess credit risk through detailed financial, structural, and documentation analysis
- Partner with Product, Risk, Legal, Finance, and Coverage teams to drive transaction execution and approvals
- Develop, lead and own relationships with client C-Suite and Treasury executives to enable the capture of first mover opportunities with clients across the CBA product suite
- Drive transaction origination and structuring, developing innovative financial solutions and ensuring alignment with clients and IB&M objectives; Perform financial and scenario analysis to support underwriting decisions
- Maintain accurate pipeline and client data in Salesforce and ensure data integrity across systems
- Monitor portfolio performance, compliance, and covenant adherence
We are interested in hearing from you if you have:
- 7+ years in banking, corporate finance, or related field
- Strong experience in Fund Finance, including: NAV lending, subscription facilities, proven ability in credit underwriting and credit memo preparation, experience managing KYC and client onboarding processes
- Existing relationships with private equity sponsors / asset managers required
- Demonstrated ability to support or drive deal execution
- Understanding of control and the regulatory governance and framework, aptitude in financial and risk analysis and financial modelling skills, working legal knowledge with ability to process complex legal documentation and appropriate knowledge of risk management/KYC requirements
- Strong communication (oral and written) and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced analytical capabilities across credit, financial, and legal aspects
- Experience preparing client pitches, marketing materials, and term sheets
- Solid understanding of banking products (loans, derivatives, letters of credit, transaction banking)
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to problem-solve and manage operational complexity with internal stakeholders
- Sound knowledge of risk management frameworks and KYC requirements
The salary range for this role is from $230,000 to $270,000 + variable bonus. The salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
