About CertifyOS
CertifyOS is building the data infrastructure that powers modern healthcare.
Today, healthcare organizations rely on fragmented and outdated provider data. This creates unnecessary administrative work, regulatory risk, and higher costs across the system. We’re solving that problem.
Our API-first platform automates provider licensing, enrollment, credentialing, and network monitoring by connecting directly to hundreds of primary data sources. We help healthcare organizations maintain accurate, compliant, and reliable provider networks at scale.
Our vision is simple: One API. One provider ID. Frictionless provider data.
We’re backed by leading investors and built by a team with deep experience in provider data systems. At CertifyOS, we value authenticity, accountability, collaboration, results, and openness to feedback. We’re building a high-ownership team focused on solving real infrastructure problems that impact millions of patients.
About the role:
As our Director of FP&A, you will be the strategic architect of Certify’s financial planning and operational engine during a pivotal phase of hyper-growth. Reporting directly to the SVP of Finance, you will build the forward-looking FP&A infrastructure, long-range financial models, and operational dashboards needed to scale our business. Your mission is to elevate finance from backward-looking variance reporting into a high-velocity, strategic engine that drives capital efficiency, revenue expansion, and company-wide execution.
You are a strategic thought partner who thrives in the dynamic environment of a Series B startup. You don’t just manage spreadsheets or audit static accounting data; you partner directly with executive leadership to unlock growth, optimize enterprise SaaS unit economics, and shape high-stakes business decisions. Bringing deep, pure-play FP&A leadership, you possess the rare combination of sharp financial modeling mastery and the commercial agility required to guide our next phase of growth.
What you’ll do:
Strategic Financial Leadership & Growth Architecture
Act as the core strategic thought partner to the C-suite and executive team, translating complex financial data into forward-looking growth strategies to scale CertifyOS over the next phase of growth.
Look beyond rigid historical reporting; proactively identify growth levers, unit economic improvements, gross margin expansion opportunities, and optimal capital allocation models.
Evaluate strategic tradeoffs across GTM investments, product roadmap expansions, and global operational headcount to maximize ROI and long-term enterprise value.
Enterprise Forecasting, Planning & Strategic Modeling
Own the multi-year long-range financial model, annual budgeting process, and continuous rolling re-forecasts across complex revenue structures (SaaS, usage-based, and hybrid models).
Own the budget and forecast variance analysis and strategic monthly business reviews with core key stakeholders.
Build dynamic, scenario-based financial models to stress-test business assumptions, price changes, market shifts, and aggressive scaling trajectories in real time.
Standardize core business metrics (e.g., ARR, NRR, CAC payback, LTV:CAC, Magic Number) across departments to ensure a single, actionable source of strategic truth.
Commercial & Operational Partnership
Embed directly with Growth, Product, Customer Success, and Operations leadership as a proactive business partner to accelerate revenue velocity and operational efficiency.
Partner with the Growth team to design, analyze, and optimize deal packaging, tier pricing, and enterprise contract structures.
Establish clear, operational KPIs for functional leaders, translating company-level financial targets into team-level performance metrics.
FP&A Infrastructure, Systems & Scale
Push technology as far as it can go. You should come with an AI and tooling first mindset.
Design, implement, and automate a modern FP&A tech stack (CPM/planning tools, BI dashboards, ERP integrations) to transition financial operations from manual spreadsheets to real-time analytics.
Recruit, develop, and mentor a lean, high-performing FP&A team, cultivating a culture of proactive business partnership rather than backward-looking accounting. This will take place over time. To start this will be an IC role.
Executive & Board Reporting
Own the preparation of monthly executive dashboards, quarterly Board of Directors presentations, and key investor communications.
Frame complex financial insights into compelling narratives that articulate operational momentum, trade-offs, and strategic risks to executive leadership and institutional investors.
What you’ll need:
Must-Have Experience
Proven Scale Leadership: 8–12+ years of progressive finance experience with at least 5+ years of pure-play FP&A and strategic finance leadership, specifically helping scale a B2B SaaS or HealthTech company.
Strategic Partner Mindset: Demonstrated track record as a proactive strategic business partner to C-level executives—someone who drives operational strategy and capital efficiency rather than simply auditing or reporting numbers after the fact.
Deep SaaS & Commercial Acumen: Expert knowledge of enterprise SaaS unit economics, go-to-market mechanics, net retention drivers, and complex multi-product financial modeling.
AI, Systems & Automation Mastery: Proven experience leveraging frontier models in day to day processes as well as for larger project initiatives. Experience implementing and optimizing modern FP&A planning platforms and building scalable financial infrastructure from scratch.
Board Communications: Direct experience producing Board-level decks and managing executive stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
HealthTech Domain Nuance: Familiarity with the commercial and financial dynamics of US healthcare, provider systems, usage-based API platforms, or healthcare data infrastructure.
Fundraising & Capital Markets: Direct involvement in Series B/C capital raises, debt financing, M&A execution, or IPO readiness workflows.
Global Operational Finance: Experience modeling and managing financial operations across cross-border structures (e.g., US headquarters with international operational or engineering hubs).
Investor Communications: Direct experience communicating complex financial strategy to institutional investors.
