Greenfield Rehabilitation Agency is seeking an experienced, hands-on Director of Financial Operations to lead the financial operations of our growing Wisconsin healthcare organization.
Reporting directly to the President & CEO, this is a high-impact leadership role responsible for cash management, accounting, budgeting and forecasting, billing and collections, financial reporting, and financial controls.
We are not looking for a CFO. We are looking for a strong financial operator who wants to own the numbers, improve processes, lead a team, and help management make better financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
-
Own cash-flow and working-capital management, including rolling cash forecasts and treasury oversight.
-
Lead the company's annual budgeting and forecasting process, including development of our next fiscal-year budget beginning February 1.
-
Manage and develop the billing and collections team, with a strong focus on AR, DSO, collections, and converting revenue into cash.
-
Take ownership of day-to-day accounting operations, including the general ledger, AP, reconciliations, monthly close, and financial statements.
-
Transition routine accounting functions in-house while partnering with our outside CPA for taxes, audits/reviews, and technical accounting matters.
-
Develop meaningful financial reporting and a concise CEO dashboard.
-
Analyze financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend action.
-
Strengthen internal controls and financial processes.
-
Partner with operational leaders to improve financial performance and accountability.
What We're Looking For
-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
-
7–10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience.
-
Healthcare finance and revenue-cycle experience is required.
-
Demonstrated experience building and managing an annual operating budget.
-
Strong experience with cash flow, financial statements, accounting operations, forecasting, and financial analysis.
-
Experience leading accounting, billing, AR, collections, or other finance personnel.
-
Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
-
Multi-site healthcare or professional-services experience is a plus.
-
CPA, CMA, or MBA valued but not required.
The Right Person
You are a hands-on financial leader who wants to own the financial operation—not simply report the numbers.
You understand cash. You dig into aging receivables. You can build a budget from the ground up. You identify problems before they become emergencies. And you can move comfortably between presenting financial insights to a CEO and digging into the details to understand why something doesn't look right.
