We are looking for a Finance Director responsible for providing strategic financial leadership across our operations in Spain and Chile. This role offers the opportunity to act as a key business partner, influencing decision-making, driving financial performance, and supporting the execution of important business initiatives in a dynamic international environment. The successful candidate will play a central role in ensuring strong financial governance, identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation, and delivering insights that help shape the future growth and success of the organization.

The Day-to-Day

  • Lead all finance, accounting, payroll, tax, treasury, regulatory compliance and other related activities for the Spain operations and oversee those activities for our Chilean Entity.
  • Ensure local statutory compliance, tax filings, regulatory reporting. 
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, government authorities and advisors while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and approval authorities.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of financial reporting, budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and management information as per corporate requirements.
  • Ensure strong financial controls, effective risk management, and adherence to corporate accounting policies and international reporting standards.
  • Act as a trusted business partner to local management, operation teams and the Corporate Support Services, providing financial insight and supporting strategic decision making.
  • Drive standardization, simplification, improvement and automation of finance and business processes across all locations.
  • Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing Finance team while fostering collaboration across locations and functions.
  • Ensure business continuity through effective succession planning, cross-training, and clear accountability across the organization.
  • Communicate significant financial, operational, compliance, or business risks in a timely manner and recommend appropriate mitigation actions.
  • Support the execution of corporate initiatives while ensuring local regulatory and operational requirements are appropriately addressed.
  • Participate in strategic projects, including business integrations, system implementations, organizational development, and operational excellence initiatives.

The Skills we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, controlling, and/or audit, including responsibility for month-end close and statutory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of Spanish GAAP, Spanish tax and regulatory requirements, statutory reporting, and local accounting obligations; experience in Chile or other European countries is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of IFRS and experience applying corporate accounting policies in a multinational environment.
  • Experience managing treasury operations, AP, AR, payroll accounting, tax compliance, audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Experience managing cross-border finance activities and coordinating with corporate support services, advisors, external auditors, and local operating teams.
  • Experience with ERP implementation or finance transformation projects; experience with IFS is an asset.
  • Strong process-improvement, digitalization, and automation capabilities.
  • Strong leadership and team-management skills, with the ability to combine operational execution with supervision and business support.
  • Registered Economist, Registered Auditor (ROAC), CPA, or an equivalent professional accounting designation preferred.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish; 
  • Knowledge of French is an asset.
