Director of Engineering, Uncrewed and Advanced Aviation
As the engineering leader for Uncrewed and Advanced Aviation, you will be a technical founder of a new line of business within Boeing. You will guide the architecture decisions that will form the foundations of our products as we build the tools that will enable the adoption of uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) and advanced aerial mobility (AAM), globally. You will help define and build the initial product, but more importantly, you will build the engineering team that will redefine the future of how aviation data is created and consumed.
Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Partner with the General Manager and product team in the development of product strategy and the definition of the initial products that we will build to serve emerging uncrewed and advanced aviation applications
- Own the architecture of our technology stack while pushing the art of the possible in leveraging both large language models and spatial computing capabilities in developing innovative products
- Serve initially as a "player-coach", rolling up your sleeves to build the early version of our products yourself
- Build and lead a dedicated engineering team focused on UAS and AAM applications
Qualifications
- MS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- 10 years of experience building full-stack B2B SaaS products, ideally within the context of Amazon Web Services
- 5 years of engineering management experience with demonstrated success in building world-class software teams
- A background in aviation is highly valued, but not necessarily required
