Job Title: Director of Design

Job Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India

Job summary: We are a leading Software as a Service (SaaS) company that specializes in the transformation of data in the US healthcare industry through cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions. We are looking for a Head of Design, who will be responsible for setting the design vision, strategy, and execution for Hilabs’ digital products. Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to create seamless, user-friendly experiences that align with our mission. This is a leadership role that requires expertise in UI/UX design, user research, and product design while fostering a strong design culture within the company.

Responsibilities:

•         Define and implement Hilabs’ design strategy, vision, and principles to drive business goals.

•         Establish a strong design culture by mentoring and growing the design team.

•         Advocate for user-centric design thinking across all departments

•         Lead end-to-end UX/UI design for Hilabs' digital products, ensuring intuitive and scalable experiences.

•         Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to align design goals with business objectives.

•         Build, manage, and mentor a team of UI/UX designers, user researchers, and visual designers.

•         Develop and implement best design practices, guidelines, and workflows.

•         Encourage a culture of experimentation, data-driven design, and innovation

•         Leverage data and behavioral analytics to inform design improvements.

•         Stay current with design trends, healthcare industry innovations, and emerging technologies to continually evolve our design approach.

•         Advocate for design thinking and data-driven methodologies to enhance product development and user engagement.

•         Drive initiatives that improve accessibility and usability, ensuring our products meet regulatory standards and the diverse needs of healthcare professionals

Desired Profile:  

•         Bachelor’s or master's degree in design from a Tier-1  Design / Tech institute

•         8 + years in UI/UX design, product design, or creative leadership, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role at a SaaS or product-based company

•         Strong proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools. Expertise in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and design systems

•         Thorough understanding of user experience and possibly even product strategy.

•         Experience implementing testing platforms and unit tests.

•         Proficiency with Git and/or other code repository.

•         Appreciation for clean and well documented code.

Nice to have:

·       Experience in healthcare, AI-driven solutions, or SaaS platforms.

·       Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, React, etc.) to collaborate with developers.
Experience with motion design and micro-interactions to enhance UI experiences
