This is a leadership role that combines creative direction, people leadership, and operational ownership. The Director will set a high standard for creative and content execution while continuing to strengthen the processes, capabilities, and resource model needed to support evolving business priorities.

The Director will lead in-house and offshore creative professionals, oversee external agency partners, and own creative intake, demand planning, prioritization, capacity, workflow, and resource allocation across a complex, multi-brand organization. The ideal candidate connects brand identity, customer needs, product knowledge, and portfolio capabilities to create relevant, solution-oriented work.

Key Responsibilities

Creative and content leadership

  • Lead creative and content development across the CFS Brands portfolio and establish a high standard for quality, storytelling, and brand consistency.
  • Translate brand, customer, product, and commercial priorities into compelling creative strategies and deliverables.
  • Provide clear creative direction and constructive feedback while empowering the team to develop strong solutions.

People leadership and capability building

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of in-house and offshore creative professionals.
  • Build team capabilities aligned with the evolving needs of the business and identify opportunities for development, additional expertise, or resources.
  • Establish clear roles, expectations, accountability, and performance standards that help the team do its best work.
  • Foster a collaborative team model with clear ownership, strong communication, and accountability from brief through completion.

Creative operations and prioritization

  • Own the end-to-end creative operating model from intake through completion, including decision rules, project ownership, review expectations, and escalation paths.
  • Maintain visibility into demand, capacity, priorities, deadlines, dependencies, status, and tradeoffs across the portfolio.
  • Prioritize work based on strategic importance, business impact, timing, and available resources; decide what to start, stop, simplify, defer, decline, or outsource.
  • Build processes, metrics, and tools that improve accountability, efficiency, and on-time delivery.

Agency and resource management

  • Develop an effective resource model across internal talent, offshore resources, freelancers, and external agencies.
  • Lead agency relationships, including partner selection, briefs, scopes, budgets, timelines, performance, quality, and changes in support.
  • Determine when work should remain in-house and when external expertise or additional capacity is required.

Cross-functional leadership

  • Build strong partnerships across Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Digital, Channel Marketing, Tradeshows, and other functions.
  • Partner with Product Management to support high-volume product needs and translate product knowledge into clear customer and dealer stories.
  • Navigate competing priorities and stakeholder expectations; present recommendations and creative work effectively to senior leadership.

Brand governance and scale

  • Strengthen creative standards and brand governance across the portfolio.
  • Build repeatable processes, templates, and tools that improve consistency and efficiency without making the work feel generic.
  • Help evolve the creative organization as CFS Brands grows across brands, products, channels, and markets.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in creative, content, brand, marketing, advertising, or related disciplines, including experience leading people or a function.
  • Demonstrated experience building, restructuring, or scaling a creative, content, or marketing function.
  • Strong creative judgment with experience across integrated marketing channels and a portfolio demonstrating visual storytelling and content development.
  • Experience managing high-volume creative workflows across multiple brands, business units, or stakeholder groups.
  • Strong project prioritization, demand planning, resource allocation, and creative operations capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop talent, coach performance, build team capabilities, and align resources with business needs.
  • Experience managing agencies, freelancers, photographers, and other external creative partners.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to balance creative quality with business priorities, deadlines, budgets, and available resources.
  • Experience in a multi-brand, B2B, manufacturing, foodservice, healthcare, or similarly complex organization preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, design, advertising, or a related field preferred.

What success looks like: Within the first year, this leader will have established a transparent creative intake and prioritization process; improved visibility into workload, capacity, and delivery; assessed the team’s capabilities and development needs; made clear recommendations about the future talent and resource model; strengthened agency and external partner management; improved creative quality and brand consistency; and built stronger partnerships between Creative and the business.
