Job Summary
The Financial Planning and Analysis Director leads the budgeting, forecasting, long range planning, implementation, and business strategic analysis. In addition, this role is responsible for actual results, providing variance analyses and commentary for monthly management reports, assisting the business on steering the operations to stay on course with the company Budget, and presenting yearly financial plans to senior management. The position also tracks, reports, and analyzes financial and operational key metrics for the company as well as advising management on decision making and strategic initiatives. The position reports directly to the Vice President Corporate FP&A and Strategy and works closely across the Finance and Operational Teams.
Responsibilities

  • Assist in the 5-year Long Range Plan, annual Budget, as well as monthly forecasts; in addition, plays a critical role in the strategic planning and investment prioritization.
  • Analyzes financial plans by comparing to trends, past performance industry standards.
  • Directs the development of the budget models, and financial planning schedules to be used by operations to create financial planning.
  • Develops analysis tools such as return on investment models to evaluate financial plans submitted.
  • Partner with stakeholders across all parts of the organization (Finance and non-Finance), to deliver targets, track performance, and align on key issues, opportunities, and risk.
  • Create and deliver presentations for leadership, including Budget, Forecast, and LRP presentations supporting Board of Director meetings and Monthly Operating Reviews.
  • Creates processes and develops ways to continually improve processes to ensure timely and accurate budget, forecast, and LRP analysis and financial review.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications

  • A strong critical thinker with excellent business judgment, able to break down and solve complex problem
  • Meets deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strategic orientation, focused on the 'big picture' and comfortable with ambiguity in long range planning
  • Detail oriented, not afraid to dive deep into numbers and nuances, especially as we manage our current performance and short-term targets
  • Excellent communication skills both in writing and in person
  • Good at tailoring messages to different audiences
  • Strong analytical skills; data-driven and experienced with dynamic financial models
  • Demonstrated record in driving alignment and collaboration across large number of teams
  • Expertise in financial management
  • Strong experience in Hyperion
  • A proven problem solver and storyteller with fluency with number
  • Bachelor's in finance, economics, accounting, or a related major is required.
  • At least 10 years of related Finance/FP&A experience
