The Role
Director, Content Strategy leads the development, creation, and execution of a company's content strategy to achieve business goals, managing workflows, and ensuring brand consistency and quality across all platforms. Key responsibilities include developing content strategies and editorial calendars, managing content development and distribution, analyzing performance metrics, ensuring SEO and GEO best practices are followed, and collaborating with other marketing teams.

- Strategic Planning: Develop and refine the company's overall content strategy, ensuring it aligns with business goals and supports marketing initiatives.
- AI Proficiency: Lead in the identification and utilization AI tools to streamline research, development and production of content, while maintaining adherence to brand voice, standards, and values.
- Content Creation & Oversight: Oversee the creation of various content formats (text, video, graphics) and ensure content quality and adherence to brand voice, standards, and values.
- Content Production: Establish and maintain efficient content creation and publication workflows, often using a CMS, and manage the editorial calendar.
- Distribution & Promotion: Develop and implement content distribution strategies across various marketing channels, including social media.
- Performance & Optimization: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure content effectiveness and optimize strategies for maximum impact and ROI.
- SEO & GEO: Ensure all content is optimized for search engines (SEO) and generative AI (GEO) and stay updated on the latest content and technological trends to produce relevant content.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other marketing and business teams to ensure content supports overall business objectives.

Experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in content marketing, digital marketing, or communications.
- AI tools proficiency - hands-on experience with content generation tools, workflow automation, and AI-powered analytics.
- Demonstrated success working in digital marketing agencies or similar client-service environments.
- Creative-minded with an ability to conceive interesting ideas for new content campaigns.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
