The Director, Creative and Content Marketing leads the development and execution of content marketing strategies and creative assets that attract new prospects and deepen relationships with existing clients. This highly collaborative role is integral to the Consumer Bank Marketing function and requires a strategic thinker who can drive impactful programs across teams. The ideal candidate will manage a range of creative resources, including external writers, videographers, and agencies, to develop content that educates, inspires, and supports the bank’s growth objectives through lead generation, client engagement, and new client acquisition. The scope of work spans digital and print channels, including in-branch merchandising and the banking center experience, as well as occasional event marketing initiatives. Close collaboration with internal stakeholders is essential to ensure all deliverables are strategic, brand-compliant, and delivered on time.

Creative and Content Strategy Development and Execution

  • Develop and implement comprehensive content marketing strategies to attract new prospects and support client acquisition goals.

  • Leverage data and client insights to understand target audience preferences, behaviors, and pain points, creating content that drives engagement and action.

  • Manage the development of targeted content programs consisting of a variety of creative assets and channels to educate and engage existing clients and generate leads

  • Collaborate with Program Managers to align content initiatives with key business objectives, focusing on enhancing the client experience and driving measurable improvements in engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

  • Build and maintain editorial calendars; provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Collaboration and Program/Campaign Support

  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Brand, and Compliance teams to align content initiatives with key business objectives.

  • Work closely with Marketing Program Managers to provide best practices for content as part of larger, multi-channel campaigns for consumer and small business segments.

  • Partner with Marketing Channel team responsible for digital media, website, and email channels to ensure content is effectively integrated and optimized across channels.

  • Act as a key collaborator in cross-functional campaign planning and execution processes.

Creative Asset Development and Optimization

  • Manage various creative partners in the creation of high-quality, engaging content and creative assets, including digital and traditional advertising, articles, videos, infographics, blogs, and other creative assets.

  • Leverage client insights and analytics to refine content strategies and improve engagement and conversion rates.

  • Stay updated on content marketing trends and best practices, incorporating new ideas and technologies to enhance the bank’s content strategy.

  • Manage day-to-day and oversee relationships with external agencies and freelancers to scale content and creative production as needed.

  • Monitor and improve production workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness over time.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing communications, content marketing or creative services management,

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful content marketing strategies.

  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and marketing automation platforms.

  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.

  • Experience with multimedia content creation, including video, graphics, and interactive formats.

  • Exceptional communication abilities.

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent project management skills.

  • Passion for understanding customer needs and creating content that resonates.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and innovation.

  • Ability to travel to one of the following locations as needed is preferred: Southington, CT, White Plains, NY, Jericho, NY, New York, NY.

The estimated salary range for this position is $140,000.00 to $160,000.00 USD annually. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
