What You'll Do
- Develop computational approaches for characterizing the performance of existing and new epigenomic assays and tests.
- Define and implement metrics and analyses to assess NGS and epigenomic data quality to enable coordinated optimization of assay and diagnostic performance to address test requirements.
- Assume responsibility for the computational aspects of late-stage development and validation of novel epigenomic liquid biopsy diagnostic tests.
- Take part indesign and execution of validation studies of epigenomic-based diagnostic tests for use in a regulated clinical lab.
- Share data driven insights of test and assay performance with leadership and wet lab development teams to inform assay development priorities.
- As a key member of a cross-functional team, you will work closely with various stakeholders, especially those within our platform development laboratory team and regulatory team, to make innovative diagnostics a reality.
Who You Are
- PhD or MSc in bioinformatics, computational biology or related field
- 5+ years experience industry experience, within multidisciplinary R&D group. Management experience is desirable.
- You have experience developing a prototype NGS-based diagnostic from a research tool to a clinically validated and approved diagnostic test. Experience in development within a regulated environment (CLIA, FDA) is a plus.
- You have an in-depth understanding of the analyses that enable a given regulatory path for a liquid biopsy diagnostic test.
- You have spent large parts of your career thinking deeply about high throughput data; how to test its limits and enable better understanding through enhanced characterization of data, with a desired emphasis on NGS data.
- You have experience in using computational analyses to understand complex data sets.
- You are comfortable presenting your findings in a group setting and advocating for your strategy with leadership.
- You are excited by challenging problems and a fast-paced work environment.
- You thrive in startup culture, comfortable taking on new projects with minimal direction, and are adaptive in response to feedback and evolving information.
- You are proficient in either R (Bioconductor) or Python.
- You value diversity, learning from various perspectives, and working collaboratively on multidisciplinary teams.

What We Do
We've experienced the significant gaps in our collective ability, as a medical and research community, to access and understand disease-defining biology when it matters most. To address this, we've developed a simple blood test to uncover actionable disease-defining transcriptional biology.
Our unique genome-wide platform profiles circulating chromatin and the DNA methylome to deliver resolution into the dynamic activity of individual genes and pathways in diseased tissues from just 1mL of plasma.
By partnering with developers of new medicines and advancing our own diagnostic tests, we’re working towards a world where new medicine development efforts succeed more frequently, and where anyone can receive a minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment that’s precise to the biology of their disease.
